Here are the results of the first DMW show. (along with a story or two, since it was my first night as a ref and all.)

The show started off with the MC of the night, Blackie who introduced Jason Vega who had a gaggle of girls with him. They talked about something, I'm not to sure what it was about since I was in the back getting ready for my debut. I do think they discussed the line up for the card and why Jason wasn't wrestling tonight. His back was injured at another show in early Aug and isn't full healed yet.

The first match was Sgt. Tank vs The Widow Maker with ME AS REF! This was a short quick match with Tank getting the win with a lariat after the Widow Maker failed to pin Tank with a sunset flip.

The second match a 4 way elimation match for the DMW Tag Team Titles with The Suburban Commandos vs Trent Hemridge & Helfyre vs Kenny K & El Hiro De Chupacabra vs Ivan & Alexis Smirnoff. I didn't see much of the match becuase I was in the back. Well until the ring has a mishap. One of the cables under the ring, snaped which caused the ring ropes to become loose. The match continued as the ring crew figured out what to do. The match ended with the Commandos pinning Ivan Smirnoff after Trent/Helfyre and Kenny/Chupacabra were elimated from the match. The ring ropes were still loose and the cable was still broken.

Let me try and describe what happen. So the cable has a loop at the end of it, so you can hook it to the bottom of the post. Somehow, the loop can undone causing the cable to give way. It took a little bit to fix but it was a pretty much easy fix. The card continued as the cable was being fixed.

The Third match of the night was to start off the tournament to crowd a DMW champion. The match was Rik Luxury vs Paul Isadora with me as the ref. Paul got the pinfall over Rik with a chokeslam.

We took a quick intermission as the ring got finished being fixed. We had a very sucky band play in the meantime. VERY SUCKY BAND.

The 4th match was U.S. Steele vs Jesus Cruz. U.S. Steele won the match via pinfall.

The 5th match was Sir Samuari vs Rage who replaced the injured Jason Vega. This was the final match of the night that I ref'ed. Sir Samuari got the pinfall while his valet had me check the turnbuckle pads, because for some reason she thought they were loose or something was wrong with them. But there was nothing wrong them, I sware. I mean they were zip-tied to the turnbuckles.

Anyways, after arguing with her about it, I turned around and saw that Samurai was pinning Rage. I counted to 3 and Rage kicked out but it was to late, my hand already hit the mat for 3. Rage wasn't happy with this and picked up a chair that for some reason was in the ring and Rage was ready to hit me with said chair. The crowd started chanting hit the ref and I got the hint really fast and got the FUCK out of the ring. I raised Samurai's hand in victory and got the hell out of dodge.

The next match was the final match was of the tournament and the final match of the night. The match was U.S. Steele vs Paul Isadora vs Sir Samuari in a triple threat match. Sir Samuari won the match via pinfall and was the NEW Devil Mountain Champion!

Has there ever been a GOOD band to play at any indy show ever? Some of the worst live music I've ever heard in my life has come from some garage band who got booked on a show because the drummer is the booker's cousin.
