So I'm getting DSL...

Recommended Posts

We've been with dial-up at my house for the last few years now, but we're going to be getting DSL soon. The phone company will install it, but I'm worried if I will have all I need. I asked a buddy and he asked me if I had a network interface card. I have no idea. I have a socket where I plug the phoneline into the computer. Will that be enough? Or will the modem the installation comes with cover everything?

Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

Is your computer fairly new. As in less than 6-7 years old. I'd assume it came with a NIC. Plus, most DSL modems come with USB capabilities.
