Guest Report post Posted June 19, 2002 Then he carried the main event (well what little carrying that Angle didn't do). That's most likely why it was a * match.
Guest Brian Report post Posted June 20, 2002 I'll admit it. He's bumping well. That still doesn't mean Taker should drop the title. He's at a stage in his career where this is his last run, it has to last, and it has to end on a solid note. Still bad segments, willingness to work with younger stars is a definate plus and actually make sense if Taker continues punking guys out until after Vengeance when RVD steps up. Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted June 21, 2002 "Nobody wants to admit it except that deathvalleydriver guy but HHH has be improving lately. " What does this have to do with the facts that: A: He has two semi major injuries that could require surgery...and thus being the champ is not a good idea B: He's defeated (coughburiedcough) everyone and there is no one left to face that could draw anything
Guest What?! Report post Posted June 21, 2002 Whoa! I just realized that Booker T went from one of the favorites to win KOTR to not even being on the card at all. Blah.
Guest Angle-plex Report post Posted June 21, 2002 My pick (Test) is still in!
Guest LesnarLunatic Report post Posted June 21, 2002 Test is going all the way! he's made some real progress, I recall his first time in KOTR, he lost in like a minute to the Big Show in 1999. I don't think he did much in 2000, I think he was in a tag team match with Albert, Scotty, Brian Potsmoker, EDGE~!, CHRISTIAN~! and those Hardy fruitcakes. ;-) as for 2001, no clue.. Guest Brian Report post Posted June 21, 2002 Tehy'll probably add Booker T vs. X-Pac since that is the match that they've been playing off for the last month or so.
Guest Brian Report post Posted June 21, 2002 Maybe they'll pull the card and have Austin return, though they should sit on that until Flair's totally getting his ass kicked setting up Flair/Austin vs. Eddie/Benoit. You know there's money to be made on Austin's return now.
Guest Shaved Bear Report post Posted June 22, 2002 yea, too bad they all but buried Austin, but it can still be a work, because Austin's crap is on shopzone
Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted June 22, 2002 What injuries are slowing down HHH, anyway? The quad and the elbow?
Guest The Czech Republic Report post Posted June 22, 2002 I see it like this. Van Dam beats Jericho. Lesnar is killing Test but then Booker T comes in to get retribution for losing on RAW by taking out Lesnar and helping his ex-partner Test win. Then Test beats RVD and we all stop watching. Now that'll be a hell of a coronation ceremony.
Guest cabbageboy Report post Posted June 22, 2002 Good god. Repeat after me: TEST IS NOT GOING TO WIN A FUCKING THING! The guy is obviously there to job to Brock, he is not getting past that round.
Guest Brian Report post Posted June 22, 2002 That's what I didn't get about the NWO run-in on Booker's match. If you want to do it right, you do it one of two ways. Either they interfere first and Booker gets retribution. Or they interfere after Booker instigates it but he still wins. That's booking 101.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted June 23, 2002 how did Test make it to round three in the first place? Seriously. Christian out in round 1...Storm not even in it. Hell...I think that Orton vs. Brock would be FAR more interesting than Test vs. Brock. Orton vs. Brock...battle of the new guys.
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted June 23, 2002 Two heatless heels fighting each other should make for a greeeeeat match. Hopefully it's a Brock squash and over fast.
Guest Brian Report post Posted June 23, 2002 Why are they even pairing two heels in the opening round? That's not going to help Brock nor the crowd, in fact it could kill them.
Guest WWF4Life Report post Posted June 23, 2002 Maybe the original plan was for RVD-Jericho and Brock-Edge semi-finals, teasing the possibilities of Van Dam-Brock or Jericho-Edge finals, but that was screwed up because of Edge's injury. What face on SmackDown could take Test's place though? I agree with the heat situation though, that was one of the many problems from last years event...all semi-finalists were heels, which really hurt the matches as a result.
