Texas Tech's problem is that I could start for them this Saturday and still manage to produce 300 yards and a couple of touchdowns. It's a "(something) system/offense" school, so it'll get a stigma about it.

I swear to god they drag guys off the street for that QB position. If you're not a Tech fan then every year you're like "who the fuck is this guy? And why did he just throw for 50,000 yards and 500 TDs in one season?"

Um, noone could throw for 50,000 yards and 500 TDs in one season. Well, maybe Rhett Bomar could. Hes got a sweet ride.

More trolling. Your signature is trolling and then you brought up Bomar for no reason because you knew it would draw a reaction from me thus making it trolling after alfdogg told you to stop trolling me.

I'm not trolling, I'm just being silly. I'm just that kind of guy, I like joshing. But if theres one thing I like more than joshing, its Rhett Bomar. I really think, under the right system, he could probably throw for 50,000 yards. Given, he probably couldn't do it one season, but... and I'm being completely serious here, what does Dan Marino have that Rhett Bomar doesnt? He throws the ball really well, which, here in Oregon, we call "a sweet ride." So I'm not trolling, I'm just saying Rhett Bomar has a sweet ride.

Anyway, the Oregon-Oklahoma game happened last week, so back on track here...

I think Cal-ASU is gonna be a shoot-out. I just don't think ASU has the defense to stop Marshawn Lynch, and as good as that Cal d-line is, I think ASU is gonna be able to air it out a little bit.

Yeah nice try. You know what you were doing. Don't try to argue out of it. You were trolling me with the Bomar and sweet ride comment and everyone else here knows it. And your sig is intentionally antagonistic designed to get another reaction out of me.

Mine was made in reaction to his. If the mods makes him take his down then I'll take mine down even if the mod doesn't tell me.

But his is designed to get a reaction out of me. He didn't even start with the Oregon sigs until we got into an argument through PMs. So that's strike 1. If I'd never PM'd him then he'd never have made the sig. He made it instead to get a reaction.

Strike 2 is that I was talking about Texas Tech and not even mentioning the OU/Oregon game and he drug Rhett Bomar and the car dealership thing into the conversation trying to get a reaction out of me.

This is all AFTER alfdogg told him to stop.

AND I FUCKING STOPPED. I did what I was told and stopped talking about it.

I didn't even think of making the sig until he started trolling me.

Whatever he says in PMs or I say in PMs is fine. That's between us. But alf said it needed to stop on the message board and I did my part but he's the one that kept it going.

Is Penn States defense fast enough to contain Ted Ginn? I mean, noones defense is fast enough to contain Ted Ginn, but I think hes gonna be able to run all over them. Troy Smith has a sweet ride, and hes gonna get that deep ball to Ginn pretty much at will.

Speaking of Troy Smith, hes getting a lot of buzz as the leading Heisman candidate. Maybe its because of the glut of candidates we've had in the last few years, but it feels like kind of a weak stock of candidates. Adrian Peterson, Chris Leak and Brady Quinn were really the only big names going into this season... I guess Troy Smith too, but he was kind of a dark horse. Quinn might have fucked it up already, and Leak isn't really doing anything breathtaking. Hes got a sweet ride and all, but so do a lot of quarterbacks. In my opinion, Adrian Peterson is gonna run all over the Big-12 and end up getting it. Who does everybody else see getting the Heisman?

Let's say that Troy Smith plays every game like the one he played at Texas. They go undefeated with him playing like that, and he walks away with the Heisman.

Penn State will be raped by Ohio State this weekend. No need for analysis.

I may open myself up to name-calling about being a homer, but I wouldn't be surprised if Hawai'i took down Boise this weekend. This is if last year's result (44-41 Boise) is any indication of how they really stacked up beforehand. Hawai'i is better defensively in every facet, and Colt Brennan is one year older. People are heralding Boise's defense right now (top-5 in the country, yet it was against Sacramento State, Oregon State and Wyoming), as if this will stand after Hawai'i comes through. Another shootout is inevitable, and I don't think Zabransky has enough help on offense to do it.

As a fellow Hawaii fan, I'll back you on that one. They played Alabama close, and tore up UNLV last week, so I don't doubt that they'll have a chance in the Boise St. game. I am a bit worried about their chances of winning on the blue turf, but I think they'll capable of at least making a game of it. I just hope Ian Johnson doesn't run all over them like I saw him do against Oregon St.

Naw, run defense has always been their forte, so Johnson will just get his yards and nothing more. If anything, the stigma of how they usually play in Boise will have the most impact should they lose.

UVA goes to Georgia Tech tonight to get mauled. Before the season I was excited about having some national exposure and a Thursday game in September, but not so much right now. Tune in if you want to see Al Groh do his best Art Shell impression on the sidelines. Unless Reggie Ball really, really Reggie Balls it, this has the makings of something like 24-6.

Could Buffalo get beat so bad that they just cease to exist? I think we might see someone get killed on the field.

Buffalo isn't the worst team in 1-A any longer. Remember they came very close to winning at Bowling Green. Plus, Auburn isn't going to be throwing the ball a ton, so I'm liking Buffalo +42.

Yeah, Kenny Irons needs to get back on track and run for at least 450 to make up for his sub-par performances against MSU and LSU.

450 yards only adds up to like 5 TD's! 0-35. Go UB!

Plus, Auburn plays SC next Thursday, I think. The dreaded sandwich game.

I think Troy Smith's Heisman trophy campaign is going to go something like Matt Leinart's last year, where he gets a lot of press and the tag of "early favorite" because he's the highly visible QB of the top team, but by the end of the season it will be clear that a few players have had more outstanding years. In Leinart's case it was Reggie Bush and Vince Young (and one could argue Brady Quinn), and I think in Smith's case it will be Adrian Peterson and Steve Slaton, and possibly some other guys as well.

As a Duck fan I'm disappointed in the sig Dama. Not because it offends me or anything, but because it's boring. You could have at least done something a bit original like photoshopped Earl Hebner into the pic or something.

Cal ASU could be a shootout this weekend. Cal probably isn't as bad as they played against Tennessee (though their qb's may be). ASU hasn't really been tested yet this year. I'm picking Cal even though I would prefer for ASU to win.

What IS the worst team in I-A now? Is there agreement on Temple, or does anyone want to make a case for Duke or Illinois?

Temple, easily. The OT score at UB was deceiving because UB screwed up a few scoring chances, whereas Temple wasn't moving the ball all day until their 4th qtr. FG drive.

You know, Bored should really make a case for Stanford. They were blown out by San Jose State and NAVY in consecutive weeks. Fucking Navy doesn't even have a quarterback.

EDIT: I need sleep. 35-34 SJSU two Saturdays ago.
