Guest Jimbo Posted September 20, 2006 Report Posted September 20, 2006 he's on the third team of CSTV's announcing group doing pbp with CHRIS RIX ....which is awesome.
2GOLD Posted September 20, 2006 Report Posted September 20, 2006 Someone gave Chris Rix a job in SPORTS BROADCASTING? One of the biggest underachieving QBs in college football history is going to do commentary. Whats he going to do, show us how he would have made a bad play worse so it doesn't seem as bad anymore? Man, it really is true that all you have to do is have played sports in college. Doesn't matter if you played well or not, as long as you played.
Guest Princess Leena Posted September 20, 2006 Report Posted September 20, 2006 Chris Rix announcing? Oh, fuck. I remember how awful he was doing sideline stuff in the Cotton Bowl. And CSTV usually does a good job hiring young kids. Oh well. http://www.aimforgreatness.com
Spicy McHaggis Posted September 20, 2006 Report Posted September 20, 2006 Despite the previous posts, Chris Rix is actually very good in the booth. He used to do a lot of high school games on Fox sports West, and he was better as an analyst than anyone they've had in awhile. Unfortunately, he didn't have the seniority, so he'd get put on the sidelines a lot... where he obviously is not very good. When he first started I felt the same way, but he won me over. And, if you think about it you don't necessarily have to have a great playing career to be able to talk about the sport. A lot of people can have great knowledge of x's & o's without the athletic ability. Granted, Rix did have talent but even though it didn't turn into a successful career, he still knows the game.
Slayer Posted September 20, 2006 Report Posted September 20, 2006 I wonder if Eric Crouch is available
Lt. Al Giardello Posted September 20, 2006 Report Posted September 20, 2006 I wonder if Eric Crouch is available 3rd string QB for CFL's Toronto Argo's.
Vampiro69 Posted September 21, 2006 Report Posted September 21, 2006 What about Tommie Fraizer? He should be able to get time off from Kmart to work some games.
2GOLD Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 What about Tommie Fraizer? He should be able to get time off from Kmart to work some games. Tommie actually has went on to have a career as a college football coach. He's currently the head coach of the Doane Tigers in Nebraska. Course, they suck, having lost to Dana College, Dakota Wesleyan and getting blown out by Northwestern. But thats where he is. Maybe someone can find former Alabama quarterback Jay Barker. ETA: Nevermind, he's got a job as a radio host on JOX 690
Gert T Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 Eric Crouch will only accept a job at CSTV if he can throw a football at least 15-20 times per broadcast.
Carnival Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 Vampiro....tell me you DIDN'T just talk shit about the greatest college football player of all time. Tommie Frazier tried to fuck my sister back in his college days, god I wish he would have inpregnated her.
Guest Princess Leena Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 Ethan, you embarass your poor sister enough just by being yourself. Leave her alone.
Vampiro69 Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Carnival, I could have easily used the name of Geno Torretta. I just figured that people would remember Fraizer better.
