Yeah, but it's probably not so easy, and I don't think it's entirely fair to say all fat people have no self-respect or whatever he said. But I have such little self-respect, sometimes I'm surprised I'm not morbidly obese.

Its probably not as easy, true. But then again, those people who cannot put on ANY weight ususally don't look the best either. As far as I'm concerned, I'm always going to be attracted to the girl who has the tendancy to be more rounded than the chick who simply cannot gain weight.

If you're big boned, or thick genetically, that's different from being fat. If you're the sort of person who genetically puts weight on easily, eat lower fat foods. If you can't eat more than 2000 calories without it affecting you, eat less then that. Your body obviously doesn't need it, so just suck it up and deal with it.

 

There's no reason to be overweight. There's no reason for it, apart from you like food (momentary pleasure) more than you respect yourself. If you're overweight then you either don't want to lose weight because for how you look (or how it will affect your life), you don't realise that you're overweight (which is going to be naive at best, more likely plain stupidity or "issues") or you want to lose weight but don't have the willpower to do so. I don't particularly care for any of those people. All have issues, all are wasting their life and wil probably die early for the sake of another cake. I can't be abiding with that.

I agree with you. I don't understand how people just let themselves go. I fully understand that there are medical reasons, and that certain medications cause massive weight gain, what about the others?

Increased automation of tasks and other elements of our culture that promote inactivity.

That's a cop out. Just because our country promotes laziness and obesity, doesn't mean you have to follow the lifestyle.

 

The thing that bothers me the most about overweight people is the mottos they've come up with.

 

"Beauty is on the inside."

 

"Looks don't matter."

 

"Personality is far more attractive than physical appearance itself."

 

1. Easy to say for someone who is ugly on the outside.

 

2. Yes they do. That's the first thing anyone looks at, looks. It's human nature, pure physical and sexual attraction.

 

3. Personality does go a long way, but it does not outweigh appearance. How can you have an adult relationship with someone if you get sick to your stomach when they get undressed?
