Ok, so NOW what do you think of Hulk Hogan?

What does a win over Hogan mean any more?

It's like the WCW title after WWF bought em, it means nothing.  This is not the Hogan of the 80's, this is the "I'm walking, and I'm Talking" Hogan, fuck, anyone could beat that Hogan.

How much fuckin longer are they gonna delay playing real american!?

Hogan purest till the end.

Maybe when he starts laying down for RVD, or Eddy Guerrero, or Chris Jericho, or D'Lo Brown in order to give them that bragging right.. then maybe.

Wait wait wait. Now I can understand someone not liking Hogan, everyone has their own tastes. But did you just say, in all seriousness, that Hogan should lay down for the likes of Guerrero, Jericho, or D'Lo? They all suck. Honestly, none of them has any potential or charisma, save Jericho but he just pisses me off.

That is just fucking sad. Like him or not, Hogan is a legend, and to even suggest having Hogan lay down for the likes of D'Lo? That is like a steel-toed boot straight to the cahones of every Hulkamaniac. Where I come from, shit like that calls for an ass whoopin son.

TELL ME YOU DID NOT JUST SAY THAT!!!!

WTF!?!

Guerrero the best wrestler on the roster. One of the greatest rudos on the earth. Man, this is Eddie fucking Guerrero, a guy who came back from big time problems and still rpoved to be top five in the world and carried Super Crazy to the best match of his career.

Only three words are neccessary here: Latino Heat Sucks

I have yet to see one good match from him. I suppose he might be able to put on a good match, before Raw starts, before the fans arrive, in front of the tech crew guys... in the dark.

The guy breaks his elbow on his first match. Tough luck? No, lack of skill. Let's see Guerrero cut one decent interview. He is certainly not the best wrestler on the roster, if he should be on TV at all, he should be in the Mean Street Posse... or jobbing to them.

Have you seen Halloween Havoc 97?

I think if Jericho and Hogan have a BIG feud and Jericho retires Hogan, THAT could make him a la Foley and Hunter.

Like Guerrero or not, he is still considered by many to be a very, very good worker and wrestler, and one of the best wrestlers employed by the WWF.

And besides, Rock and Austin have just as much if not more recognition now than hogan had in the 80's, minus the TV commercials.

Not really true

Rock- Yes

Austin- sorry, but no. I've done research into this before, and I can tell you that Hogan was a much bigger name for a longer period of time. Today, Austin's popularity and notoriety isn't anywhere what it was in 98, but even then it wasn't anywhere near the level Hogan reached in the 80's

Just the facts >>>

A few differences:

Austin sells FAR more merchandise. Has for years.

Austin is also on TV FAR more than Hogan is. He wrestles FAR more than Hogan does.

Putting Hogan on TV consistently only kills his heat and wears out his drawing prowess.

That's not a problem for Steve.

Shit, ask anyone who has worked with Guerrero 'who is the best worker' and they will say he is, or Benoit.

Taft, have you seen Eddie wrestle outside of the WWE/F?

Undertaker - "Like I said Yoko, I recommend the size 9000 leather shoe for your foot, it will really match your figure"

Yokozuna - "Can ya eat it?"

Undertaker - "Excuse me?"

Yokozuna - "The shoe, can ya eat it?"

Taker Mark!, how do you think of these.  My favorite was the one of the Taker about to hit Yoko with the tight rope walk arm smash thing.

UT:  Wait a minute!  Stop the match, Cornette, what the Hell are you wearing?!

YZ:  Chicken?!  Did someone say chicken?!

I just hate him because he's a pathetic sack of shit in the ring.

If he could still go at this age (See: Flair, Ric) it'd be a different story.

Honestly Brian, no. I would see a match from another league, if the resources were provided to me. But since they aren't, I'm not going to make the extra effort. Perhaps he is simply being misused as the WWF has been bad at doing (i.e. Tazz), but until I have seen proof otherwise, I am still not convinced.

BTW Ric Flair cannot still "go". He's lucky he can move. As entertaining as he is, he's had one too many farewell matches for my taste.

Your point about Flair's numerous fairwell matches is valid, however if you don't think Flair can still "go" then you're blind. Watch his match with Austin again, or his match with Taker at WrestleMania. Flair at age 56 can still bump and perform better than half of the people on the roster. At age 56 Flair is still capable of taking a a broomstick to a ** match.

I love the people who want new stars elevated, but bitch when guys like Hogan come in and lie down to elevate them. "The same old guy is on my TV!"

Yeah, but if Hogan rolls over for Benoit, will you still have a problem? I mean if you want newer and younger stars, what better way than to put them over a guy who beat just about every 80s and 90s heel known to man?
