Guest Felonies! Report post Posted November 12, 2006 Ever since August of 2005, I've had a problem with the keys on my laptop accumulating dust and dislodging from their positions. Once the compacted dust is removed, the key can be placed back into position, but never locks back into its other piece the same ever again. The first to go was E. I have thus far lost e t i o a s (most recent) h L n down This also makes it hard to take my laptop anywhere because the keys fall off in transit and the suction cup-looking things scatter everywhere. This slow dismantling of the laptop is wreaking havoc on my ability to type, not unlike a serious neurological disorder. Eventually, I fear that they'll all be dislodged. Is there any way this can be fixed?

When his RFVTGB keys fell off, he got some thin double stick tape and (with the computer off) pressed the letter firmly back onto the key. It worked pretty well for him.
