Its supposed to be random collection of superstars teaming up. It's essentially putting 4/5 different feuds into one match DX/RKO - Punk/Knox DX/RKO Hardy/Nitro Hardy/Helms(A little of Edge too) CENA/SHOW - Cena/Umaga RVD+Sabu/Show Kane/MVP(Umaga as well) Lashley/Test and Finlay is sorta the odd man out but they could easily start a Kane/Finlay program here)

Secondly, it's not like they suddenly went traditional here. They had at least one elimination matches every year for this event since 1999 excluding 2002 but that was covered with a EC and tag team elimination triple threat. All they changed here was adding a squash elimination match and the random pairing of main eventers and mid-carders.
