packwingfn 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2006 So far this reminds me of the Packers-Eagles and Packers-Seahawks game The packers need a touchdown on this drive or else im gonna have a heart attack.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2006 Art Shell is being fired after this season, according to NFL Network. Raiders are denying it.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2006 The only way the Raiders are going to amount to anything is when Al Davis retires or sells the team. I think the league should try to move the team to the OC.
Guest "Go, Mordecai!" Report post Posted December 22, 2006 Don't call it that. Where would they play? They can't get a goddamned stadium built there. What do any of the Raiders' problems have to do with the Oakland Coliseum? Man.
packwingfn 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2006 Man I called it. This is the Seahawks and Eagles game part 3. NO OFFENSE ALL GAME! thank god for our defense. ::knock on wood::

Guest "Go, Mordecai!" Report post Posted December 22, 2006 Other than beating the Vikings and Bears, what needs to happen for the Packers to make the playoffs?
packwingfn 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2006 Falcons lose once. Giants lose twice. It might be the same for the Vikes if they win too but I'm not sure how their tiebreakers go. We havent played the Giants or Falcons.
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2006 Falcons lose once. Giants lose twice. That's pretty likely. The hard part is Green Bay actually winning their own games.
packwingfn 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2006 And I think the 49ers cant win the division because Seahawks have the tiebreaker over us.
Guest "Go, Mordecai!" Report post Posted December 22, 2006 No, the 49ers beat the Seahawks twice, so if they both finish at 8-8, Niners win the West.

If that scenario happens, Seattle is in, Green Bay is out. Oh, I misread it as "the 49ers are incapable of winning their division." My mistake. Carry on. At any rate, whoever loses tonight is out, and that appears to be the Vikings now.
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2006 This is the worst NFL Network game so far, and that's saying an awful lot. I'll agree with that. This isn't exactly the '85 Bears that is shutting down the Vikings. I never realized Minnesota's offense was that terrible. Don't they have two linemen in the Pro Bowl? packwingfn 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2006 I still can't believe the Packers won that game. Bubba saves his job for another night. And yes thats what I meant If the 49ers win their division, the Seahawks have the tiebreaker over us when they beat us. Giants play the Saints and Redskins Falcons play the Panthers and Eagles I'm not saying this is a Super Bowl team but if we can make the playoffs, that really shows how bad the NFC is. I would say the NFC is like the Eastern Conference in the NBA huh

Why does everyone think that the answer to California sports teams and their problems is relocation? If they move the new fans wouldn't know that the team sucks they would buy the tickets in good faith being thankful that they have a franchise in town it doesn't matter that the local university team is better. Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2006 Then you end up right back where you started from in about 3 years when the novelty wears off and fans realize the team still sucks. You'd just move them back to Oakland? If they need to move at all, which I don't believe they need to, move away from Southern Cal. Aren't the Chargers enough? LA made sense being the large media market but Anaheim/OC? No.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2006 The television universe cannot exist without 10 sports franchises in the SoCal region but where else would they goto, Sacramento? The LA-land has 2 basketball teams, 3 hockey teams, 2 baseball teams, they need at least one football team! Haven't we seen that LA football just doesn't work as much as the NFL wants it to? You got USC which is probably the closest thing to NFL that a college program can be. In fact, are you ignoring San Diego? SD is enough for the SoCal region. Why would they, in this hypothetical situation, need to stick in California anyways?

Guest "Go, Mordecai!" Report post Posted December 22, 2006 If they move the new fans wouldn't know that the team sucks Yes. Because there's no television in Los Angeles, and football fans in LA, most of whom are still Raider fans, are WHOLLY UNAWARE OF HOW BAD THE RAIDERS ARE. God, you're one dumb fucker. I wish somebody would hit you in the back of the head with a blunt object, but how would we know if he got a good hit in?

Also, it's not like the NBA or MLB where the celebs or egos can be see right by the action unless they are on the sidelines. That's part of the entire appeal of LA sports, to be seen.
