Guest Marvel Man X Report post Posted December 24, 2006 I honestly haven't been keeping up with wrestling or TNA in a while and earlier this year I watched a few TNA shows and saw Stenier and I just picked up watching it again and don't see him. Same goes for Jarrett. What's the deal?
BUTT 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2006 Steiner had a contract dispute with TNA and he's gone. JJ is just off TV for a while because they think he's overexposed. He'll be back as a face soon enough.
Steviekick 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2006 I thought Steiner was out of TNA because they used up the number of bookings they had on the contract for.
BUTT 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2006 Well yeah. And they couldn't come to terms on a new deal.

Guest Mos_Def Report post Posted December 26, 2006 Its all for the best. Steiner is probably best in doses...especially when considering his physical condition. He'll be back when the roid bill becomes unmanageable again.
luke-o 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2006 But Scott Steiners NEVER taken steriods....
Dobbs 3K 0 Report post Posted December 27, 2006 I think they basically used him the right way, aside from not having a proper blow off to his feud with Joe. He was fine as a muscle/bodyguard for Jeff Jarrett. Really, I wish TNA and WWE could both get in the mindset that "Yes, it's OK to bring in an older guy once in a while, but he doesn't have to be signed to a long term contract and wrestle every single week. Sometimes you can use a guy for a short storyline and then send him back to the indys." (see "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan for the opposite of this)

Yes, Steiner is coming back as Christian's coach..I read the Impact spoilers for the next few weeks. I don't know why they chose Steiner, as he has no past with Angle, but I guess we'll see. Not to mention the fact that Christian Cage already has one big man enforcer.
UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2007 Steiner was an All-American freetstyle wrestler at Michigan. And he was a master of delivering pro wrestling suplexes. Thus, he would be qualified to tell someone how to beat Angle, I guess.

That's pretty good logic, but cage also mentioned mind games, remember? And a past history, how do you think they'd work that in? Or would they pull a WWE and expect us to forget?
