Wyld Cannon Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 Pushing the tongue to the top of the mouth while pushing on the spot between the eyebrows with the pointer finger will help clear a stuffy nose. Pushing on both places at the same time moves the vomer bone, which runs through the nasal passages, back and forth like a seesaw. The motion loosens the congestion and after about 20 seconds, the sinuses begin to drain. This actually works, five minutes ago I could hardly breath through my nose and now I'm clear. I'm still sick, but the lack of nose stuffage has really helped. Maybe someone could have told me this shit 20 years ago.
NYU Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 Nope, didn't work for me. Still congested.
Wyld Cannon Posted January 10, 2007 Author Report Posted January 10, 2007 Well i use my thumb because i can press harder, and also i've read alternating presses works better than at the same time. Also, I press my tongue into the soft fleshy part, not the hard part. Googling "vomer bone congestion" will provide a bunch of links to the technique.
Black Lushus Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 I'd like to get this medically cleared through my doctor first...
Wyld Cannon Posted January 10, 2007 Author Report Posted January 10, 2007 No, just listen to me and Google. Me and Google make way more money than your primary care physician does (Google carries a lot of that load, just to clear things up).
