How to create a copy of my Windows XP CD?

I have a Windows XP CD and it is getting scratched up quite a lot. So I copied its contents and created a CD with that. But I noticed I am not getting the message "Press any button to boot from CD..." when I start the system with the new CD. So what should I do to create a copy of the XP CD. I assume I have to create a bootable CD. But how?

You need a copy of Nero. I believe the demo will do it but any CD burning program with a boot function will do. Google Slipstreaming XP CD and you'll have your answer.
