I'm working quite a bit now. We're doing this huge operating system switch at the warehouse, and all of the crosseyed idiot fuck carnies that work there are flipping out. It's awesome. The pessimism of the blue collar american is so thick it can be detected by smell. There's this toothless crack bitch out there with a jacked up nose that flips the fuck out on her supervisor almost weekly. I think she's still employed based on a cruel joke.

that's crazy man, we're doing a MAJOR switch as well in April and we're so far behind it's not even fucking funny...I, for one, am petrified that no one here will get it at all.

I had one for a while and later dropped it. It was a joke. I seriously have more control over my own job, more respect, and the same pay and benefits as I do in my current position. I've only been here for four years. Basically what I do now is run all of the voice-activated picking equipment, and make sure our four operating systems don't take a shit. Place is so disorganized. There's one central program that deals with the voice activated software, and two other ones that run our piece and case pick sides respectively, then yet another one that governs pharmacy and piece inspection. What we're doing right now is going through the process of condensing it so one system "owns" all of the SKUs, and introducing MASSIVE amounts of automated technology that virtually involves turning the entire building inside out. It's supposed to be done by late 2009, to give an idea of the scale.
