I got it w/ the student discount and tax free (it came from a governmental account)... so I got it for $2495 - but actually free. Another thing I love about Mac: I bought a double pronged firewire and 3 hours later my entire hard drive was transferred from my iMac to my new MacBook. When I turned it on for the first time it even had my desktop background and my Adium buddy list popped right up. Very cool. I'm putting my iMac G5 up on eBay Sunday, which will be tough for me. I love that computer. I've seen similar used sell for about $900 in slightly worse condition and I'm including a wireless keyboard and mighty mouse so hopefully it works out. Sweet deal all around though.
