That was Storm, dum-dum.

How old is this new interview guy? 15?

Hey, were any "What?" chants edited out?

Man, Lance Storm DOES rule. Too bad that comment went over everyone's head. They should have at least canned in some heat, seeing as they do for every other guy. Just listen to this Kurt Angle/Vince segment. All the pops sound EXACTLY THE SAME.

And speaking of Hogan/Angleat KOR. What was Hogan saying in his interview? He sounded like a tool trying to act like he knew the kids today slang. And he ended it by an unintelligabel word. WTF?

OH oops im only listening to it; not watching it.

Um, Masturbation? Cmon d'von.

Hogan tried to no-sell his baldness. He's been trying to no-sell his lack of talent and his age, but now his baldness? Will he stop wearing his bandana if he doesn't care about being bald?

If D-Von wanted to sound like a preacher, he could call it "spilling of the seed." I wish I hadn't heard what I just heard in the beginning of Farooq's song.

I've liked SD thus far. The backstage stuff has been brought down a bit, the segments that have been on have made sense, and the matches have been pretty good.

Don't touch his hands D-Von! What a wasted segment.

Spoke too soon. Oh well, at least it was short right?

He didn't have piped-in pops besides when the WWE wanted them to pop for a certain thing, and they didn't. The rest of the pop, including the extended "Triple H" chant, was obviously real, fucktard. And I was at MSG for his return, and he sure as hell didn't need any piped-in pops there.

The thing is, they didn't pop for ANYTHING the WWE wanted them to pop for. That's why all the pops sound exactly the same.

He only got pops in his MSG return because he was returning after 8 months and people were expecting the old Triple H.

OMG, HEYMAN *IS* BOOKING SMACKDOWN! We had the start of Beulah/Kimona II with that Trish/Linda segment. What, you mean they AREN'T lesbians? But come on, everyone says Billy and Chuck are when they were stretching together. OK, so I'm bored.

Oh WWEEEEEE, thanks for replaying the Trish/Molly segment. At least they cut out all of Lawler's jokes.

Just a little side-note, I bought the WM X-8 DVD a few days ago instead of the latest George Carlin CD (Complaints & Grievances), and I am seriously regretting it.  All the extras and extended look at Stacy's ass can't hide how incredibly mediocre the show was.

Man, this women's tag match could be SO awesome if they Linda and Trish worked over Jackie's knee to show some Women's PSYCHOLOGY~ Could you imagine a Trish Ringpost figure four on Jackie? Yeah, me neither.

Jackie is looking nice =)

The Hulkster: Waiting for a Dick Dale soundtrack for interviews from every wrestler on Smackdown at the end of the show.

It doesn't work that way jack. That would be a heelish thing to do, and Jackie is a hell. She did use some psychology by trying to incorporate her kneebrace.

Well, it isn't a Smackdown without Vinnie slobbering over a woman half his age I guess.

Obvious canned heat on Dawn Marie also.

Posted

Damn, I may want Dawn Marie more than Stacy. What am I saying??? (slaps self) I'll ALWAYS want Stacy more!

Then again...

Oops, I forgot to add the part about "if Trish and Linda were heels". Oh well, watching the first 30 minutes of HHHDown can do that to some one: Temporary loss of memory. Hey, this could work like Snickers commercial.

::Guy keeps forgetting stuff. Cut to a screen with that Snickers guy on it::

"Temporary loss of memory. Another unfortunate side effect of HHHDown. We reccomend the remote control. With this simple device, you can turn your television off." ::CLICK::

Did you see Stacy's look of disgust on her face and her trying to push away Vince when he actually kissed her? I thought she was supposed to love him in the storylines? Maybe Vince didn't tell her they were actually going to kiss in that segment.

Well, now we know Booker's not winning KOR due to the "Goldberg PUSH FROM HELL~!!"

WHATS WITH THESE BRACKETS?!? RVD and Jericho will fight in the Semis? Booker and Brock in the QUARTERS?! They've booked themselves into a corner, especially with Booker/Brock.

The one thing that SD doesn't have that Raw does is good characters (Tommy Dreamer aside) that the fans care about. Raw has RVD, Booker T, Nash, HBK, the Hardys, Austin (for a while they did anyway), Eddie Guerrero, Steven Regal, Lesnar, and many more that the fans react to in one way or another. The WWE is trying with Smackdown, but they haven't really bridged that gap. Great wrestling is one thing, but great characters and great wrestling is what professional wrestling is all about.

Nice to see Taker got a new bike after Hogan ran it over in an attack that could be described as "Heinous".

Taker ripped off his shirt Hogan style. MUAHAHAHAHA.

Hey, No Triple H entrance~! OMG! What a team player!

Tazz: "The game is in the ring with two upper tier wrestlers" Do upper tier wrestlers usually fight on VELOCITY?!

Ugh, sounds like hour 2 is going to the dogs.

I cut out before Hogan's interview to play Smackdown 2 on my PS1. At least I know this will entertain me...

[All right! Another tag title victory for Lance Storm and Chris Jericho!]

;)

What the hell was that ending? Fuck these bitches! Fuck Hogan! Fuck Triple H! Way to kill the heels!

The fans are screaming that the WWE sucks. The wrestlers are complaining that the WWE sucks. J.R. shills every week about how they know there is a problem and the answer is elevating new talent and creating new rivalries.

So what was Smackdown tonight? A two hour ego fest dedicated to the most over-pushed, least-over-top-babyface in the company. Compare the fans reaction to Triple H to their reaction to Austin and Rock as top babyfaces. It's not even close.

The show might have been quicker if they just had everyone on the roster come down to the ring one by one and get down on their knees in front of Triple H.

The "highlight" had to be after having Triple H spend the first 30 minutes of the show and the entire first two segments running his mouth, they come back for the third segment and show "MOMENTS AGO" since Triple H does not get enough airtime.

The crowd got less interested by the second during that crap and they weren't that interested to begin with. I missed the first 10 minutes and it still seemed like the crap was never going to end.

And they top it off by having Triple H hold his own in a handicap match against the WWE champion and an Olympic gold medalist. These are supposed to be the two top heels on Smackdown but they were no match for the great Triple H. Yet, I'm sure people will still say there's no "proof" Triple H has influence over the booking.

Meanwhile, the KOR tournament matches were given no build-up and after doing that great angle with Jericho last week, they immediately have him get punked out by Val Venis backstage. And Angle gets to play the goofy dork who gets humiliated once again. The cruiserweight champ gets squashed by that black hole of heat Test.

They must have had to cut out all that "elevation" to make sure there was enough room for Triple H and Vince.

The opening segment(s) were WAAAAAAAAY too long. I kinda liked the whole thing, but the first fourth of the show?! Come on guys.

And the ending... talk about vomit-inducing...

And Hurricane getting squishied wasn't my cup of tea.

Everything else was pretty darn good, I thought.

I really don't care about elevation.  I just want good wrestlers on my TV, getting to wrestle, whether they win or not.

Definitely one of the worst Smackdowns I've ever seen--any wrestling show where the first THIRTY-FIVE MINUTES goes by without any wrestling is simply bloody ridiculous.  I think one of the big, simple reasons people are getting sick of HHH is the damn overexposure.  Hell, I don't even want Lance Storm or Booker or any wrestler I absolutely love on my TV for 50 minutes a night.

Despite the fact that I am a (very vocal) HHH fan, I do admit that he has been overexpoused a bit lately. That said, I did enjoy his segments, despite the fact that they went a little long.

And guys- the WWE has had the faces punk out the heels completley for a long time now. When was the last time we had a heel who could hold his own against a face? They always resort to cheating and even 2-on-1 the face kicks their ass. So it's not a new thing here that's just happening because it's Triple H, it's almost always been like this, with a few exceptions to the rule. Don't whine and act like it's only happening because Hunter has backstage clout, that's how the heels and faces are booked right now in WWE, with the exception of Brock Lesnar (and even he got help from Paul Heyman during his matches with Bubba).
