Guest cabbageboy Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 I never heard them say this about the winner getting the world title shot at SS. In that case here we go: RVD wins the tourney with the fluke rollup, then at the next PPV Brock kills him dead for the IC title.....at SS RVD wins the title, thus setting up a nice feud with Brock over the big belt. It's the only thing that makes sense. Jericho is dead in the water as far as main events go. Booker mained SS last year and I see no way he will again. Brock needs the IC title before he can challenge for the world title, that's just the way it should be done. No one else seems feasible at all. King Test vs. HHH at SS.....be afraid.
Guest Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 Test's music hits Crowd: ::Crickets chirping:: Test: I am...uhm, damn, I forgot my line. Oh, that's it, King of the ring! Crowd: (One side of the arena) "Who the fuck are you?" chants (Other side) "Just go away!" chants! (Backstage) Shane: See, I told you he'd get over this time! My Prediction based on Sault's prediction: Billy Gunn comes out and challenges Test to a "Worst Ever King of Kings" match. It ends in a Double DQ, when Mabel returns and kills both of them.
Guest converge241 Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 Brock over Booker (xpac intf, leads to Xpac-Book @ KOR) RVD over Xpac Holly over Test Jericho over Venis RVD over Brock by dq (brock lays a savage beatdown to keep from doing the job) Jericho over holly RVD over Jericho. Jericho dominates and works on RVD's injuries, but RVD comes back to win. RVD vs Taker @ Vengeance for the title (yes im assuming taker keeps the belt..until he drops it to a healthy Edge).
Guest Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 I've made my predictions in the pinned KotR thread, so there's no need to go over them again here. I'll say that Converge and I agree on everything except the finals, which I think will see Jericho go over RVD. Or X-Pac going over Hardcore Holly. Who knows in this day and age?
Guest caboose Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 Cos I know Vince reads this board, I'm gonna say i want the following tournament to unfold, this way Vince will try to swerve us all and go a differnet way. RVD Vs. X-Pac Winner: X-Pac Jericho Vs. Val Venis Winner: Val Venis Test Vs. Bob Holly Winner: Test Brock Vs. Booker Winner: Brock -------------------- X-Pac Vs. Val Venis Winner: X-Pac Test Vs. Brock Winner: Test -------------------- X-Pac Vs. Test King Of The Ring: X-Pac -------------------- Now I have correctly predicted Vince's planned KOTR, he will have to swerve me and make RVD, Jericho or Booker KOTR. Here's hoping Vince swerves me!
Guest Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 X Pac vs. RVD - RVD Jericho vs. Valbowski - Jericho Test vs. Hardcore - Hardcore. Probably Test, but I'm thinking with TE2 just ending, Bob could be in for a mid-card push. Booker vs. Lesner - Booker. Ric Flair will somehow cause Brock to loose in retaliation for Monday night. RVD vs. Jericho - RVD Hardcore vs. Booker - Booker RVD vs. Booker - Booker clean I hope.
Guest cabbageboy Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 While I find Booker somewhat amusing I am baffled as to why everyone thinks he is going to win the tourney. In case you hadn't noticed Lesnar is getting the push now, so Booker isn't making it out of the first round. I wish they had done a mix and match of the Raw and SMDN guys and ended up with RVD/Jericho (which is hopefully gonna happen) and Brock/Booker at the PPV and not on Raw. The one thing that puzzles me is that Brock would face either Test or Holly at KOTR, which is a heel/heel match and never goes well with fans.
Guest Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 What does Lesner have to gain from a KOTR win that he couldn't gain with some wins over big names? Had the Austin/Lesner match happend on Monday with Lesner going over, do you think he would still need a KOTR win?
Guest Brian Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 Definately. An Austin win on Monday would have done nothing for him. Because he wasn't going over clean, and with interference all the heat would have gone on Benoit and Guerrero. Do you really think the announcers follow up on that type of thing unless it was leading to a program? And do you really think it's worthwhile to hotshot an Austin loss like that? A match like that needs some sort of build; Austin was right, not just about how he went at it.
Guest humongous2002 Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 ok here goes my predictions for KOR 2002: [X-PAC] vs ---------[RVD] [RVD] vs---------[RVD] [Y2J] vs ---------[Y2J] [VAL] vs----------[RVD]KOR [TEST] WINNER vs ---------[TEST] 2002 [HOLLY] vs---------[bROCK] [bROCK] vs ---------[bROCK] [bOOK] That's what the smarks and marks want to see but most likely WWE will fuck this up too.
Guest cabbageboy Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 See, it's possible to book this stuff in your sleep. RVD beats X Pac due to Booker running in to avenge what happened last week. Then the NWO costs Booker his match with Brock. On SMDN Jericho will beat Val with his usual cheating and I think Test might get DQed against Holly, thus preserving his heat (BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA). Thus it goes that Brock gets an easy win over Holly to cruise into the finals. Meanwhile RVD and Jericho battle in a furious contest....leading to a battered RVD meeting Brock in the finals.
Guest Downhome Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 Call me crazy, once again, but am I the only guy who feels that the brackets should have been set up something like this... Jericho Val Test Hardcore X-Pac RVD Booker Brock ...thus allowing for the finals to be a "special match", pitting one star from RAW and one from SD to square off in the finals? I don't know about you, but with the current roster split and what not, it just seems to be to be something that they could have done, then built up to be some huge special match in the finals, in the addition to it being just that, the KOTR finals. Obviously it is going to be Brock Lesnar who wins this, I don't really think there is any other true choice that WWE would make right now. So the only thing they would have to do to have it be my way as above, would be to have Brock go to finals, and then have some face from SD to face him. Hell, how about have Val go over Jericho in some huge "upset" (thus REALLY continuing their feud), and then having Brock Vs. Val in the finals, or hell, just someone, I'm sure they could have come up with a great finals if they really wanted to make it make more sense like I've said, lol.
Guest Anglesault Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 Test's music hits Crowd: ::Crickets chirping:: Test: I am...uhm, damn, I forgot my line. Oh, that's it, King of the ring!
