I stopped watching when I was a little kid, and my first memory of the modern era was Austin on the zambonie.

 

other genius:

 

Screwing HHH to make Chyna the no.1 contender for his title

hitting vince with a bedpan

coming out in a suit and tie

Steve Austin, CEO

saving Sephanie from Taker (in hindsight, bad move on Austin's part)

"My name is Stone Cold Steve Austin...."

pounding the crap out of JR

asking anyone in sight for a hug

 

plus the beggining of What?

 

Austin "Who'd you lose to?"

Hugh Morrus "Saturn"

Austin "What?"

Morrus "I lost to Saturn"

Austin "What? do you think that's funny? do you think that's "humorous"? What?"

When "What?" first started. If it wasn't for that, I would be named something even dumber.

 

When he "joined" Vince McMahon after he won the title from HBK, then stunnered Vince. Great stuff.

 

The "Hero/Jackass" segment. I laughed so damn hard when that happened.

 

When he stunnered Goldust into the port-a-potty, then tipped it over.

Austin:Who whipped your ass...last week?

Raven:Saturn.

Austin:Hehehe - okay. Here's a guy...who carries around a mop. It's - he carries a mop. What? As far as I'm concerned, you shoulda mopped the damn ring with that lunatic. He's got a sexual relationship with a stick, with a damn...mop on the end of it, and he whipped your ass? Am I correct? If I'm lying, you tell me I'm lying.

Raven:You're - you're correct.

Austin:I'm what?

Raven:You're correct.

Austin:That's right, I am correct. WHAT ABOUT ME? WHAT ABOUT RAVEN? QUOTE THE RAVEN NEVERMORE. You want me to give ya a little speech? Do you want me too? You suck! Quote Stone Cold nevermore. You make me sick.

The time he drove the beer truck into the arena and spraed everybody and the time he hunted Raw, with A snake in Vince's limo, the 3:16 on the pager, the cardboard standup. And the time he threated Vince with a gun...yeah...

My favorite memory.. hmm.. how about him walking out like a little bitch. Face it, his crippled ass and his ego was leaving a foul odor on everything angle he got his hands on.

After reading all these moments, it really brings a tear to my eye that its all over. Face it no matter how much the whole inVasion angle sucked, austin was funny as hell as a heel. Austin had alot of awesome matches.  Yeah I will miss the performer and entertainer stone cold. But I wont miss the cry baby man austin was.
