Art Sandusky Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 It pops up on CBS and ABC still when nothing else is going on, and of course the Indy 500 is on every year.
Guest Queen Leelee Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 There's far too much discussion about a sport where cars drive in a circle, and most people only watch in the hope to see any crashes or controversy. In this world, many things are popular because most people are idiots. American Idol. NASCAR. Etc...
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 I'm not a Nascar fan myself, but that's enough with the "Nascar sucks" posts.
Guest Richard McBeef Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 May I, as we say around these parts, take it to NHB?
Slayer Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 Posts about "NASCAR sucks" distracts people from serious discussion about NASCAR

Art Sandusky Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 Oh, I almost forgot but remembered upon seeing an advertisment on SpeedChannel: The idea of a few powerful teams of drivers/cars is pretty much how racing is done on the professional, global exposure level. It's not part of NASCAR's ruination. If nothing else, it keeps the circuit grounded in auto racing still. If they cease having owners of the cars and just have "NASCAR drivers," it will truly be dead. I wish this was flippant conjecture, but the idea of the organization pretty much building the cars they use and charging teams/automakers with the cost of one is another case of the true factory-backed STOCK CAR racing aspects and benefits of participation dropping to almost nil.
