Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted May 4, 2007 Report Posted May 4, 2007 So, I'm home from school and trying to use my laptop without having to hook it up to my router. However, for the first time ever for some reason, my wireless software's sucking and not letting me do so. I'm using Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software, and whenever it comes up, it claims that no wireless adapters exist or have been installed for me to use. I try to use the Tools and Advanced drag-down, but both are not functioning. I right-click the icon in the bottom-right of the screen and all of those options are also disabled. Does anyone know what's going wrong?
Guest Smues Posted May 4, 2007 Report Posted May 4, 2007 This probably isn't the problem since you said it isn't showing an adaptor's existing, but is there a button on your machine somewhere that turns wi-fi on/off that you might have bumped? I can't count the number of times someone I've known has asked why their wireless isn't working on their laptop, and it's because they bumped that button.
Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted May 4, 2007 Author Report Posted May 4, 2007 Fn & F2 together? I've made sure that it's turned on (and the small Wi-Fi light is on).
