Guest Mattdotcom Report post Posted August 11, 2002 Ummm....WinZIP. Man, I had a 1.94 buyrate for Unforgiven (I'm playing it slow) and several ****+ matches (Benoit/RVD, Jericho/Rock) but something weird happened. Despite the fact I've never used Vince for anything, he is my top draw. This game is so fucking real.
Guest Angle-plex Report post Posted August 11, 2002 Top draw is a combination of overness and charisma.
Guest The Superstar Report post Posted August 12, 2002 I know, the writers always tell me he should be the focus of my shows. Um.........NO.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted August 12, 2002 I need help. In the beginning I have to make roster cuts. From someone who was sucessful, who should I cut? I want a complete list, not suggestions. Cut whomever you want. There's no one list that you need to cut to be successful. I'm going to guess most of us went all "smarky" and cut Mark Henry, Big Show, Rikishi, etc. Myself, I kept all the WCW guys (except Stasiak) around, plus all the smark faves. I also kept around Hogan & a few other "over" guys to job out & put over "my" guys. So, what I'm saying, the rule of thumb is: you don't like a guy or think he'll be useful, you cut him (I've heard of people cutting HHH, even though he's great in the game). Guest Grenouille Report post Posted August 16, 2002 In my Japanese scenario Jun Akiyama is on fire. He is constantly hitting **** on TV shows and has had a 5* match at the last 3 PPVs. With all of this he still isn't my top draw, that's Kenta Kobashi. I think its time to let Akiyama run with the ball.
Guest crandamaniac Report post Posted August 16, 2002 Inspired by Testkick's Diary, I decided to start my own backyard wrestling fed. I've only done a month so far, and my first show was nothing but DUD matches. It had a grand total of 15 people attend. WWE you better watch out! lol
Guest Grenouille Report post Posted August 16, 2002 Well make that 4 5* matches in a row for Akiyama at PPVs. Jun Akiyama vs Keiji Mutoh (For The Triple Crown Title) : Mutoh drives a thrust kick into the chest of Akiyama. Super frankensteiner on Akiyama, who hit hard. Cover for a two count. Keiji Mutoh misses a big legdrop after stalling too long. Mutoh receives some punishment. Running knee lift from Jun Akiyama. There's a two count on the pin. Slingshot senton by Akiyama, crushing the chest of Mutoh. Hooks the leg for a close fall. Driven DDT by Jun Akiyama. The ring shook violently, instantly making it better at selling than some of the current roster. Mutoh backdrops Jun Akiyama out of a piledriver attempt. Mutoh pulls a picture perfect fallaway slam out of the bag, driving Jun Akiyama down to the mat. There's a two count on the pin. Wicked Tiger Suplex by Keiji Mutoh on Akiyama. Pinfall attempt gets a 2.9999. Akiyama takes a flying neckbreaker from Keiji Mutoh. Stiff high kick on Akiyama by Keiji Mutoh who has evidently been watching some old AJPW tapes recently. Jun Akiyama fights out of a grapple. Akiyama hits a dropkick on Keiji Mutoh. DDT from the top rope by Jun Akiyama. That looked brutal. Keiji Mutoh gets knocked to the ground by Akiyama. Front neck lock!!! Keiji Mutoh taps out! A ***** rating for a superb bout! 98% overall rating.

Guest Bricks Report post Posted August 16, 2002 Finally a *****! 1989 Scenario Randy Savage vs Big Van Vader. Of course, seeing as this is a Scenario, and it's the scenario creator's stats of the wrestlers, I guess one can say it shouldn't count.
Guest crandamaniac Report post Posted August 16, 2002 This may be a first, but i got Keith to break out the Red Hot Poker up The Ass Rating, here's the match that got it. (Keep in mind this is a backyard fed): Low Rider vs Rapid Fire Maldonado : Low Rider strikes Maldonado. Rider hits an arm drag on Maldonado. There's a two count on the pin. Rider walks into a trip. Rider walks into a spinning heel kick, evidently feeling that the 'duck' tactic is over-rated. Maldonado hits a quick kick on Rider. Maldonado hits a spinning back kick. Rider reverses a Rapid Fire Maldonado hammerlock. Back heel kick from Rider on Maldonado, missed by miles. Low Rider has Rapid Fire Maldonado down on the canvas and is ascending the corner. Through the air, Shooting Star Press! 1....2....3. Low Rider offers a handshake to Maldonado...and he accepts it! No! Rapid Fire Maldonado levels Rider with a cheap shot right hand! Rapid Fire Maldonado climbs to the top rope and hits the Frog Splash! Low Rider has been knocked silly. Horrible, horrible match...i'm giving the bookers one red-hot poker up the ass as a rating, for subjecting me to that crap
Guest Grenouille Report post Posted August 16, 2002 Has anyone been having various problems? Once I got to August of 2003, the game freezes at the end of every week.
Guest the 1inch punch Report post Posted August 17, 2002 Funnily enough, when i played as XPW, to destroy it, i got a lott of Hot Pokers
Guest Mattdotcom Report post Posted August 18, 2002 ARGH! Benoit/RVD ladder match only got ****1/2, but the stats were all higher than 90%. But my No Mercy had about six matches break ****. And I got to fire X-Pac for drug possession. I LOVE THIS GAME!

Guest Mattdotcom Report post Posted August 18, 2002 Biggest Surprise: Rhyno is at 92 over as a heel. He and Brock are working their way up as an unstoppable tag team managed by Paul Heyman. Their name? The Dangerous Alliance.
Guest RobJohnstone Report post Posted August 18, 2002 anyone play when the industry slumps hardcore? It's down to like 14% in less than 1 year of game play. The only positive is the wwe is going out of business and I signed guys like rhyno and lance storm --Rob
Guest Retro Rob Report post Posted August 18, 2002 Similar thing happened to me. I'm in May 2003 and the industry is down to 35%. I AM SO PISSED OFF THOUGH!! I loaded my ROH fed a few minutes ago and Low Ki's overness fell to 33 for no reason what so ever. He was a main eventer at 89 over. Did this happen to anyone else? Did it end up fixing itself by the next day?
Guest Angle-plex Report post Posted August 18, 2002 It happend to Juvi in my game. He was at an 89 overness, and he went down to 27. I just edited my saved game, so I don't know if it fixes itself.
Guest Retro Rob Report post Posted August 19, 2002 After one day Ki's heat went back up to 60, so I'll be able to get him back up to the main events pretty soon. If it stayed at 33 I would have canned his ass.
Guest JHawk Report post Posted August 19, 2002 The most annoying thing when the industry completely tanks is your owner going "Our pubic image is down. How do you plan to fix it?" Never mind that we were still making money and the shows were getting better. People are against us dammit!
Guest Retro Rob Report post Posted August 19, 2002 My ROH fed is pulling through this wrestling depression. My PI was at National 22 when it started about 5 months ago. The lowest I have gone is 20, whereas the WWF is at Global 18 and the NWA is at National 46. I also have about 30 more people on my roster than I should and have made a profit every month.
