Guest TheRockIsTheEuropeanChampion Report post Posted August 24, 2002 Do you guys ever jack up the stats of your wrestlers in File Editor before you start a game? I get kinda bored with EWR sometimes so I cheat like that and get four star matches out of Hugh Morrus & Shane McMahon. Sure, it's not as challenging, but it's kinda fun... in a strange way. Seeing **** and ***** matches from the likes of Justin Credible and Haku (renamed Meng) is special in its own way.
Guest The Superstar Report post Posted August 24, 2002 In my OAOAST game, Angle-plex is NOT a jobber, he's in a feud with MME for the USTV title Anglesault and Alf are feuding for the World title. Caboose and Stone Cold are feuding, Superstar and BPP are feuding over the X Title, and CWM and Zack are feuding. This is awesome. I made the OAOAST Network, with zero morality, and I made sponsors like OAT TOAST, OAOAST Magazine and OAOAST Home video with zero morality and $1m sponsorship cash, so I can push my risk to 100 and not be canned. Guest kingkamala Report post Posted August 24, 2002 whenever I get a scenario, the game never works, I'm doing everything right, like put the original data in the olddata folder and unzip the scenario into the data folder. Can anybody help?
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted August 24, 2002 Quick question for those that made the WCW scenario...how much money did you give them? I was thinking the $100m limit, since they do have AOL-Time Warner backing them and everything. I think i gave them 20 million more then WWF has to begin with. Do you guys ever jack up the stats of your wrestlers in File Editor before you start a game? I adjust them some, but i never drastically alter them. Sometimes i adjust the stats if they look like they are wrong. Ron Killings aka Kkrush before i renamed him to what he's now called has lower stats then he should have now so i fixed them. Can anybody help? If you are working with V. 1.2, someone talked about a data converter, so I guess you could look for that.
Guest Bricks Report post Posted August 28, 2002 I HATE injuries... to people I'm planning on using and pushing. I was going to create a WWF TV Title with Jushin Liger being the first Champion, but he gets injured. I was going to make Big Van Vader and The Undertaker the most dominating tag team, but Vader gets injured for 5 months. So I sign Stan Hansen to replace him. A week before WM5 when Hansen and 'Taker are supposed to take on the Rock 'N' Roll Express, 'Taker gets injured. Crap! And Hillbilly Jim got injured... but who cares about Hillbilly Jim. He gets the boot since his injury was the same length as his contract. And the Ultimate Warrior (Over 80) is being an ass. He refused to put over World Champ Randy Savage (Over 100) clean. Thank God for the "Continue Anyway" button. So he jobbed his IC Title to Mr. Perfect (Over 90) at WM5, but not before refusing to job clean, of course. On much better news, the Mega Powers EXPLODED~ to a ****1/2 match. Would've been ***** I think if Hogan's wrestling stats were up with Savage's. Oh well. Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted August 29, 2002 Version 1.3 of EWR is now out. Blatantly stolen from this thread at WDI: New stuff includes: *I've added NWA Wildside, Heartland Wrestling and Maryland wrestling, *added about 80 new wrestlers that i found off various indi sites, like Jason Neidhart from Stampede, and the HWA crew *10 new owners (Jake Roberts, Tully Blanchard, Stan Hansen, and some others - no, there is no reason why i picked them specificially, i just thought it was funny!), *about 20 new sponsors (i realised that that was why a lot of feds went bankrupt - there were lots of feds at regional level with low morality, but very few sponsors for them - so the ones that didn't get the sponsors ended up without any income), *a new table that shows how your sponsors are split (by money and morality) so that you can see if you need to add some, *i've added the "notepad" button to the roster, finance, feuds and other wrestlers screens, *i've added a stable button to the booking screen, *10 new angles (stable induction, stable kick-out, stable attack, stable tag team attack, stable debut, "we're taking over!" (stable beat up commish), midget impersonation, and some others that i've promptly forgotten about), *changed it so that if you book a 6 or 8 man tag with a stable, the name of the team is "Anti-Americans" rather than "Lance Storm et al", *made the main menu look funkier, *made it so that the "quit" button takes you back to the main screen, *added an analysis button that tells you how many random people will be created if you start a new game with your current database *added an "owners button" to the file editor *made it so that it is easier to sign people directly to your dev territory *redesigned the belt screen slightly so that the date is given as "2nd September 2002" rather than 02.09.02 (easier to see how long the reign is then) *Improved the "sophie telling you about feuds" bit *had Sophie tell you what sort of talent level for staff that you could manage at your current level *improved the owners role, so that it really does work well (example - Dusty is set as "old school" - after 4 months of my new game as RoH, i checked out TCW and their top 5 were Windham, Rocco, Stan Lane, Steve Keirn and King Kong Bundy - how old school can you get????) *funny-as-hell moment - i've personalized Dusty Rhodes' "welcome" message to new players. You HAVE to see it. *redesigned the "company business" screen so that it is less cluttered * plus all the stuff i've announced previously, like run ins for the save
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted August 29, 2002 This update isn't a totally new game that you have to install over the old game and you can't play your save slots like the last update is it?
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted August 29, 2002 Yes, it is. Not too bad for me, because I really haven't had time to play since 1.2 came out. I don't know if this will work, but maybe save it to a different directory than where you keep 1.2? Possibly that can preserve the current edition?
Guest kingkamala Report post Posted August 29, 2002 YAY, he has EWA guys
Guest Mystery Eskimo Report post Posted August 29, 2002 Another version? Cool. My current problem in EWR is damn Juventud Guerrera. He has technical skills of 80 something but he can't get better than a 60% match rating, even with Jerry f'in Lynn. Anyone else had problems with Juvy? Guest The Son of Sting Report post Posted August 29, 2002 Is there any way to add the new features to an excisting game? I dont want to wipe my NWA file.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted August 29, 2002 I'm afraid you'll be out of luck. Saved games can't be used in the new version. I downloaded it to my computer here @ work into a different directory than version 1.2, and they both seem to work independently of each other, so as long as you do that you should be fine. Guest El Satanico Report post Posted August 29, 2002 I put my Juvi in a mini feud with Scoot Andrews to get Scoot over more. Juvi is 83 over and he had some good matches with Scoot and raised Scoot's overness by 20 in a months time. I started a new game on version 1.3 because well i like stables. So i started a ECW and made two four member stables. The Darkness(heel stable): Raven, Christopher Daniels, and the tag team of Kanyon and Sean O'haire. The Light(face stable): Steve Austin, Corino and the tag team of JR Ryder and Jason Jett(ez money). I may have to change the JR Ryder and Jason Jett if Kanyon and O'haire won't job at all to them. I also may have refusing to job touble with my other planned main event feud of Steve Austin and Mike Sanders.
