MillenniumMan831 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2008 IIRC, that Funk/Poffo match is excellent. It's on one of CV's old Best of the WWF Volumes. Poffo has the fro going into overdrive.
strummer 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2008 Just watched the tape and during Piper/Orndorff watch the ref totally no sell Piper's punch! He just shrugs it off and keeps on yelling at Piper and Orton. Also, Gorilla forgets the names of the British Bulldogs during their run in.

MillenniumMan831 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2008 IIRC, that 11/87 MSG card was rockin. All 3 of those matches are awesome. Plus, Bockwinkle's commentary is a nice change of pace and keeps Gorilla on his toes.
OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2008 I watched the Don Muraco vs Rocky Johnson match and was suprised to hear Gorilla Monsoon compliment the heel Muraco when the crowd was chanting "Beach Bum". He said that Muraco was no such thing and was in very good shape and had won the title clean over Valentine. I don't recall Gorilla touting the heels much. Was this a rarity?
