I probably was a bit harsh, but domestic abuse is up their with child molestation as far as things that truly disgust me in this world. All the excuses in the world wouldn't make Austin right in this situation.

I understand the way you feel, but, as I said, this situation goes a lot deeper than any of us know at this time. Something's very wrong with Steve Williams, something that wasn't there before. I hope he gets help before something even worse occurs. That said, I certainly think he's a cruel, pathetic human being, too.

It appears at the present time that Steve Williams is not in any serious legal trouble provided his wife doesn't press charges.

 

In a strange irony, he may have done himself a favor by not returning to the house when requested by police early Saturday morning as he would have likely been arrested upon his return.

 

Because the alleged victim of the simple assault has up to this point declined to press charges, the police aren't taking it any farther.

 

Debra Williams has two years with which to press charges, at which point the case would be re-opened and police would continue an investigation using the evidence of her injuries gathered that morning. "

 

 

So at this point it looks like he isnt going to jail. So it looks like another alleged wife beater gets to go free. Hopefully Steve can get his act together.

Just a thought....how do any of us know this "isn't the same Austin from months ago" in regards to the Debra abuse?
