CanadianGuitarist Posted July 26, 2007 Author Report Posted July 26, 2007 Mike Weir's home in even par 71. Not bad, but he was at -2 at one point. Additionally, Hunter Mahan made three eagles in a round of 62 (-9).
CanadianChris Posted July 26, 2007 Report Posted July 26, 2007 I'm going to try and watch some of the Senior Open (at Muirfield) this weekend. Faldo is tied for the lead after the first round.
Red Baron Posted July 26, 2007 Report Posted July 26, 2007 Angus Glen is showing that this course can be manhandled. Give them a course where its going to be tough like the British or US Open.
CanadianChris Posted July 29, 2007 Report Posted July 29, 2007 Natalie Gulbis won the Evian Masters. That should halt the Anna Kournikova comparisons.
Red Baron Posted July 30, 2007 Report Posted July 30, 2007 Jim Furyk retain his championship with a one shot victory over Vijay Singh. A lot of players do not like Angus Glen, and next year the Open is being held at Glen Abby (BOO!) Seriosuly, the Canadian Open needs to be placed somewhere else.
World's Worst Man Posted July 30, 2007 Report Posted July 30, 2007 Angus Glen is a mickey mouse course. If the RCGA wants the Canadian Open to be important again, don't hold it at a course where the players are flirting with -20 for the week. Glen Abbey was a decent challenge last time, and Hamilton G&C had some high scores if I remember correct. But never again at Angus Glen, never again.
Red Baron Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 A lot of people like the Hamilton Golf and Country Club.
