Trade talks sending Garnett to Warriors heating up

 

Talks between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Golden State Warriors about a trade that would send Kevin Garnett to the Bay Area are real and advanced, according to a person involved in the discussions.

 

But it's too early to say whether No. 8 pick Brandan Wright, reigning "most improved player" Monta Ellis and an assortment of fat and/or expiring contracts will be enough. Wright can't be traded for 30 days because he signed his rookie contract Friday.

Ohhhh, man. They'd have essentially lost, Jason Richardson, Brandan Wright, and Monta Ellis for Kevin Garnett? That leaves them with a scoring trio of Baron Davis, KG, and Matt Barnes? Not bad. Christ, that Pacific Division just gets tougher and tougher. I feel bad for the Kings.

Nah, that was their guy. Much like ben Gordon was their guy and when he was gone they gave away Deng, and they wanted Rodney Carney or Thabo and traded their picks after they were gone last year. This year it was Marco Belinelli after they couldn't get into the top ten.

 

They fall in love too much and give up on players that could help the team.
