Guest Report post Posted June 18, 2002 People, I wouldn't be suprised if I was you if come KOTR, Rocky somehow leaves the building with the Undisputed World Title. Think about it... ...Rocky gets an impromtu title shot against the winner of Taker/HHH, Rocky wins it. Then on the other side, Brock Lesnar wins the KOTR. Then, from here to SummerSlam, we build up a Rocky Vs. Lesnar match for said title. Lesnar wins it in a huge upset, with Vince's help (Vince says Brock is the next big thing and that Rocky can just go back to Hollywood). After the loss, Rocky goes back to Hollywood to film his next two movies. Seems like something logical to me, don't ya think? Well, when I first saw Rock back on raw last night, and stopped marking like a schoolgirl (hey shut up, I mark for The Rock. Deal With It) my first thought was "special guest referee in the world title match" at King of the Ring. But, you know, with everybody kinda down in spirts, both fan and perhaps worker alike, hotshotting the belt onto The Rock might be on the agenda. I won't predict it, but I won't bet against it either. It might not be a bad idea. I certainly wouldn't complain. Yes, I don't like the world title being "passed around like a doobie" (MUCHO props to the guy who came up with that line) but at this point, I think that's the least of three evils. Triple H winning? Hell No! Undertaker retaining? Eh, all right, if he has to. The Rock winning? Yes. I can tolerate and live with The Undertaker remaining champion, since he's at least "kinda sorta" working with them and giving them a rub. It's at least interesting in its newness, even if we know in the end Undertaker is going to beat the crap out of them (again and again). And if they want to elevate RVD, it would probably be better for him to beat the big bully heel UT than returning hero Rocky... But I actually WANT to see The Rock as champ. UT I just want to fast forward to the end of his run when he jobs to RVD...if that's the plan, and it might not be. Sure, we want that to be the plan, but since when does Vince give us what we want?
