Hawkius Maximus Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 I shouldn't have picked the Saints. I waited until the Chargers played the Raiders to pick them too for this reason. But still...the zero and eight RAMS, and they fucking lose off a four win streak. Jesus. Making the final three is good, so yay.
BX Posted November 12, 2007 Report Posted November 12, 2007 Well, it's all up to the San Francisco 49ers now.
Hawkius Maximus Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 I wish you two the best of luck. May the best man win and all that. Twas fun while it lasted.
Guest Posted November 18, 2007 Report Posted November 18, 2007 Took the Colts. For those that asked why you save teams, well, now you know.
CanadianChris Posted November 18, 2007 Author Report Posted November 18, 2007 First week of heads-up: King - Indianapolis BX - Philadelphia
MarvinisaLunatic Posted November 18, 2007 Report Posted November 18, 2007 What happens if they both lose, as in right now its 7-3 dolphins and 3-3 in the other..
BX Posted November 18, 2007 Report Posted November 18, 2007 What happens if they both lose, as in right now its 7-3 dolphins and 3-3 in the other.. Interesting question.
CanadianChris Posted November 18, 2007 Author Report Posted November 18, 2007 I'm pretty sure the pool carries over to the next week if all the survivors are eliminated in the same week. I could be wrong, though.
BX Posted November 18, 2007 Report Posted November 18, 2007 Worst case scenario, we'd be co-champions.
BX Posted November 18, 2007 Report Posted November 18, 2007 I guess we're both safe for another week.
BX Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 Week Two of Head-to-Head: King: Jacksonville over Buffalo BX: New England over Philadelphia. I pulled out my ace this week. Let's hope they don't blow it.
Guest Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 Was wondering when you were going to...
Richard Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 I'm pretty sure the pool carries over to the next week if all the survivors are eliminated in the same week. I could be wrong, though. It doesn't. I was in another pool where the 6 remaining entries were all eliminated in week 4.
CanadianChris Posted November 22, 2007 Author Report Posted November 22, 2007 As commissioner, I can reinstate eliminated teams. I'll leave it up to the two of you -- if you're both eliminated in the same week, do you want to be co-winners, or keep going until there's a winner?
BX Posted November 23, 2007 Report Posted November 23, 2007 Well, if there is an opportunity to have a definite winner, I'd like to pursue that. On the other hand, if we are reinstated, it cheapens the eventual victory for either. I'll think about it.
BX Posted November 25, 2007 Report Posted November 25, 2007 Okay, we'll keep going. The Bills are making their game vs. Jacksonville interesting.
BX Posted November 25, 2007 Report Posted November 25, 2007 Well, I suppose we should look forward to next week. Green Bay at Dallas San Diego at Kansas City Houston at Tennessee Jacksonville at Indianapolis Buffalo at Washington San Francisco at Carolina Detroit at Minnesota NY Jets at Miami Atlanta at St. Louis Seattle at Philadelphia Cleveland at Arizona Denver at Oakland NY Giants at Chicago Tampa Bay at New Orleans Cincinnati at Pittsburgh New England at Baltimore
Guest Vitamin X Posted November 25, 2007 Report Posted November 25, 2007 Boo. If you lose, you lose. I don't think it should matter if you lose in the same week. Then there are just no winners. No one else gets a second chance if they made a bad pick, you shouldn't have an additional opportunity just because you lasted this long. It's cheap, as was mentioned above.
BX Posted November 25, 2007 Report Posted November 25, 2007 I havent made these picks every week for the last three months just to say, "Oh well, nobody wins" if we both go out in the same week. How is this for a compromise? If the King and I both lose the same week (say, Week 14), we'll be reinstated until we have a clear winner (say, Week 16). At that point, the winner would be credited as winning in Week 14.
Guest Vitamin X Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 As I recall, that was how the first NFL Survivor contest ended. Nobody won.

BX Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 I've already got my picks for the next two weeks lined out.
LaParkaMarka Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 As I recall, that was how the first NFL Survivor contest ended. Nobody won. Yup. Me and the other guy both didn't make a pick for week 10 or whatever. Kind of a funny way for the contest to end.
Guest Posted December 2, 2007 Report Posted December 2, 2007 So, could this be the week? Cleveland's down at halftime, and New Orleans is ahead by 1.
CanadianChris Posted December 3, 2007 Author Report Posted December 3, 2007 Looks like a double disqualification.
CanadianChris Posted December 3, 2007 Author Report Posted December 3, 2007 Well, it looks like I was wrong. I can't reinstate individual members, just the entire group. So, this pool is going to end in a draw.
