I would love to see RVD on top of the wwe by the summers end. I see him as a strong contender to win king of the ring and if the wwe had the balls to put the title on him he could turn the company around in these "troubled time."

My predictions for the next two months:

 

Taker beats HHH at kotr

 

RVD wins the kotr

 

and Brock starts a feud with The Rock

 

then sometime in July Takers causes RVD to lose the IC title to Raven (after monday it looks like they might have raven with taker, and thus giving Raven the push he deserves)

 

Vengeance will involve somekind of tag match with RVD and ? vs Taker and Raven

 

Then summerslam, RVD defeats Taker for Title

I think the fact that the champion is on both shows, and RVD is super-over will help his chances of getting the belt, unlike Brock who they would need to work at getting over. We'll just have to wait and see though. Who knows how the whole Russo situation will affect the KOTR~!

Rock presents the trophy, Heyman gets all up in his face with his "NEXT BIG THING!!!" yell, Rock gives the Rock Bottom to brock and gives him his trophy setting up a match for the shot at the next PPV. Rock gives Brock his first lost, wins the title at summerslam and all is well in WWE land.

that is stupid. if you are gonna kill what little heat brock has and the rub for ending his streak, why give it to a guy like rock who is insane over and the top guy in the promotion. a guy like rvd could use it better to establish himself and boost himself up the card. rocky doesnt need that sort of rub, and brock isnt ready to receive rock's rub yet. after all, the highest opponent brock holds a clean victory over is fucking bubba ray dudley. and there is a *huge* jump up the card between him and the rock.

After raw, they do the angle where Brock comes out and Heyman gets in Rocks face, leading to Rock giving Brock the rock bottom. Rock will be giving out the trophy at King of the ring....

 

Here is what you guys are saying will happen

 

RVD wins, rock gives RVD the trophy cheers is had by all.

 

now COME ON. We all know THATS not going to happen. Brock will win, Rock will come out to give the trophy. Are you thinking they won't use rock in a heel/face confrontation at the end of the show. And who else would they use to put over the guy thats undefeted...

 

Don't get me wrong, I WANT RVD to win it, but its not happen gentlemen.

 

We all know they test out confrontations and such at house shows and after the show goes off the air. There will be a point to that confrontation after the show on Monday, and with Rock presenting the trophy, all signs point to it.

I have to agree that all signs point to a Lesner victory and his first major accomplishment in the WWE.

 

However, the WWE could allow The Rock (whilst doing commentry and putting over both guys by saying along with him they are the future of the WWE....Blah...Blah....Blah)

 

Near the end of the Match Heyman tries to get involved in the match The Rock has seen enough, beats on Heyman, over comes Brock to save the day, RVD rolls him up for the fluke pin.

 

RVD Is the King Of The Ring and Intercontinetal Champion. The Rock goes to present a very tired RVD the trophy but moody Brock comes in and cleans house.

 

This builds to a Brock and Rock showdown during the summer and the RVD/Undertaker programme that NEEDS to be done (Due to their history). With RVD getting the Title at SummerSlam.

 

We all know this won't happen as this means a MAJOR push for both Lesnar and Van Damn and I can't see the NWO taking a backseat for this to happen as this will mean Raw will center around the guys gettin pushed and not the NWO.

And HHH won't like it cause.....well cause it's HHH.

 

Come on Vince for once in a very rare while, do the right thing.

Test and Jericho can get in with Storm and Christian to form a Canadian Mafia and harrass Edge. RVD has no real feud going on right now and the only logical thing is to have him win and face the Taker. Otherwise he's the IC champ and really has no feud with anyone.

I think it's safe to assume that either RVD or Lesnar will win. We may be able to predict the winner of Taker vs. Triple H by seeing who wins the tournement. If RVD wins, we are probably looking at a Taker victory. On the other hand, if Lesnar wins, we are most likely looking at a Triple H victory.

I'll say it again, since I think it is the most important part of my original post.

 

A Face has to win the KOTR...because there is 2 months before the payoff title match...and if it isnt a face...fans WON'T CARE about the buildup.

 

They aren't going to spend 2 month being afraid that Brock is going to win the title...that's retarded.

 

But they WILL spend two month hoping that RVD can finally win his first World Title over that evil Undertaker...who he's been beaten by so many times before...but keeps coming closer to beating.

 

A FACE HAS TO WIN OR THE BUILDUP IS USELESS.

 

Remember I said that when they raise Brocks hand to no crowd reaction at all.

Basically here's how I see it. Heyman's about to interfere. Rock does something. RVD ends up winning after being killed to some extent. Brock feels cheated and attacks Rock. Rock actually fights back and the end up in a standstill in their first meeting with Brock on the outside looking on. Only problem is Brock sold for so many weaker opponents that this is almost ineffective and they're going to have to spend the next two-months building him up again. Well, at least it's almost certain RVD's winning. Anyone bet on it at that site Meltzer was talking about.
