Christmas is for family, Thanksgiving is for solitude and quiet contemplation of the year just passed and the holiday shopping season to come. I am alone today. All alone.

I'm just having a small dinner this year. Going out to eat somewhere with Mum, the brothers, and Grandma. Dad's working tonight so he's asleep. I don't know where the fuck the aunts, uncles, and cousins are this year. Then I'll probably watch football and some 30 Rock Season One I got from NetFlix. Yeah real fun holiday this year

I'm assuming that all of America is thankful today that Natalee Holloway's killers are being brought to justice.

Yes, I am thankful for slow but sure island justice. I am also thankful for all of the great veterinarians around the country and the wonderful work they do; the emergence of Jeff Garcia as a legit Pro Bowl contender in Tampa Bay; the success of Chris Daughtry; Sharpie-brand Sharpies; the Exploited Babysitters website; and all of my friends here at the Smart Marks, past and present.
