Your most hated/liked for 2007

Liked:

- The Red Sox continue the purge of the "idiots", build around pitching/defense and win the AL East crown and WS title

- Buchholz hurls a no-hitter in his second career start

- Rockies, D'backs, Brewers and Indians rise to prominence with modest payrolls and exciting young stars

- Roger Goodell lays down the fucking hammer on Pacman Jones and the other idiots running around the NFL

- The Spurs continue their quiet dominance of the NBA with good coaching, selfless play and tremenous upper management

- Lebron James makes the leap from superstart to transcendent once in a generation superstar

- Durant and Oden land in basketball starved Pacific Northwest

- College basketball takes advantage of the new NBA age limit rule and has one of the most interesting seasons in years with identifiable star players

Hated:

- College football and everything tangentially related to it, including the BCS, the antiquated, meaningless bowl games, the polls, the Heisman, the coaching carousel, the lack of playoffs and holier than thou programs and conferences

- Steroids clouding the landscape, including Merriman's suspension, the Bonds HR chase, the Mitchell Report, Marion Jones and the Benoit murder/suicide

- Oden going down with a knee injury

- Isiah continuing to destroy the Knicks

- Michael Vick

- The Donaghy Scandal and the continued marginalization of the NBA as a national sport

- The NFL loses its parity and gets dominated by four teams

- Dan Patrick and Erik Kuselias leave ESPN Radio

Silly-Ass was on ESPN Radio like two weeks ago, and he's terrible, anyway.

*Boise State beating Oklahoma in one of the greatest football games ever played.

*Colorado beating San Diego for the wild card in the 163rd game of the season with a wild ninth inning rally. Sure, Holliday probably didn't touch the plate but still one of the best baseball games I've seen in a while.

*Justin Verlander's no-hitter against the Brewers. First no-hitter I'd ever seen all the way through.

*Brady Quinn falling to the lower end of the first round of the NFL draft after ESPN, Charlie Weiss, and himself did everything they could to try to make him #1 including talking about his "lineage and pedigree", how Jamarcus Russell was a fat ass, and threw the entire Notre Dame team under the bus. God I hate that guy.

*Kentucky football making its way up to #7 in the rankings. It was just cool seeing us in the top 10 and in the BCS for a little while.

*The Utah Jazz getting back into the NBA playoffs and making it to the Western Conference finals after rallying from 2-0 down against the Rockets and knocking out Golden State.

*Tubby Smith finally leaving UK basketball. A change was needed and although the team sucks right now I'm content.

*Appalachia State upsetting Michigan in the Big House.

Hated:

*Peyton Manning and the Colts winning the Super Bowl. If the Bears had pulled it out I would have won the NFL pick'em. Plus I can't stand Manning.

*The BCS national title game. What a waste of time watching that was.

*Shane Graham missing a field goal against Pittsburgh that would have sent Cincy to the playoffs and basically all of this year's season for the Bengals.

*Toronto missing the NHL playoffs.

*The NBA finals. Once Cleveland eliminated Detroit I knew it was going to be a Spurs sweep.

*UK football missing a field goal in the second overtime that would have ended our 20+ game losing streak to Tennessee.

*The Reds continuing to suck in the National League and miss the playoffs for the 14th straight year.
