Jaxxson Mayhem

Free Radio

Recommended Posts

What happens when a legendary morning shock-jock abandons his post, leaving the feeble-minded intern in charge? Carnage and mayhem...but funny carnage and mayhem.

Free Radio is improvised comedy that chronicles the Cinderella story of one dim-witted intern, Lance (played by Lance Krall) who answers his call to greatness by jumping in to host a popular radio show when the real host defects to satellite radio. What follows is a glorious train wreck of botched celebrity interviews, on-air tantrums and generally lovable buffoonery.

The twist? Lance's hosting effort is so spectacularly awful, that ratings actually go up. This, of course, forces his frustrated manager, James (played by Brian Huskey) and co-host, Anna, (played by Anna Vocino) to put up with him for the sake of the ratings. The new show, "Moron in the Morning" continues to be a fan favorite.

Completely improvised, Free Radio offers a fresh alternative to the typical sitcom, showing just how far real A-List celebrities will go to tolerate a complete moron. In season one, Hollywood luminaries from "24's" Kiefer Sutherland to "Heroes'" Jack Coleman and comedy legend Ray Romano are subjected to the idiot storm that is Lance and "Moron in the Morning."

Forget "24," when is the sequel to "Flatliners" coming out? Will "Spiderman" be joining the cast of "Heroes?" Hey, isn't it time that Ray Romano played a serial killer? Only one show digs deep for the answers to these questions.

While runaway celebrity interviews make up the bulk of the show, Free Radio also goes behind the scenes to depict our loveably dim hero's struggle to deal with his newfound fame and earn the respect of his co-workers.

I remember seeing the previews for this and thought it looked funny. I liked the Lance Krall Show they had on after RAW on Spike a few years back, but that didn't last too long, unfortunately. Hopefully this'll have a longer shelf life, b/c I thought Krall was funny.

Lance Krall was Kip on the Joe Schmo show!

First Dr. Pat on SNL and now this.

HA!

The Joe Schmo show was the fucking shit.

Season 1 was awesome. Perfection.

Season 2 was pretty good, except the girl found out. But, the baked beans and hot dog porn was fucking hilarious.

My one lasting memory of season 2 is the hawk flying right into the window.

I wish they came out with that one on DVD - but they didn't. I do have season 1 to enjoy forever, though.

Lance was talking about his parents putting him on the corner with a can for leukemia donations, but would use it to pay for their new house. James Van Der Beek and Anna were talking about how that was fraud.

I don't know. I would never say, 'This is for leukemia,' just that's what the can said. Well it wasn't always leukemia, like if I went into black neighborhoods it would be for sickle cell.

Lance asking animal dude "Here's a question, I'm sure everyone is wondering this. Can you knock out a horse when you punch it?"

I hope with Kip and Dr. Pat working that The Hutch gets back on TV.

Definately, but "The Mullets" may have killed his career (even though I enjoyed that show for unknown reasons) And isn't time for Matt Gould to have a sitcom? Perhaps a buddy comedy with Kip or Hutch.

and damnit spiketv put Joe Schmoe 2 on dvd NOW. and while you are at it, how about a whole new season. I mean you can always find idiots to fool, maybe you can do cross-promotion with Beauty and The Geek, those girls on the current season are pretty dumb.
