Ripper 0 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 So I watched this last night. INCREDIBLE, Emmy winning performance from Phylicia Rashad. Just incredible. Audra McDonald, Sanaa Lathan, and David Oyelowo all really stood out to me with incredible peformances also. ... Then... There was fucking Puffy. Way to ruin what could have been another great presentation of this play to go along with the Danny Glover, Bill Duke directed 89 version and the Sidney Poitier 1961 version. except this time they didn't have a fucking actor play Walter Lee and instead we got fucking Puffy who sucked donkey dick in the role. I would recommend seeing it if you liked the play, just so you can see alot of talented actors and actresses give incredible performances and one fucking horrible, dry, stiff, dumb performance by a non acting Puffy. It was like watching the Ray Allen and Denzel scenes in He Got Game. One guy that is a incredible actor and one guy who is the most extreme opposite that you can reach.
