Guest Brian Report post Posted February 16, 2002 Heyman basically was too much of an individual. That said, most of Heyman's ideas were lost in the mix (ECW Invasion) or totally scrapped (Benoit/Jericho push), but he supposedly had both Triple H and Stephanie side with him who in turn go their asses handed to them by Vince after they got pissed that Heyman wasn't getting to speak out, etc. Maybe not that harsh, but still they played the game and they lost, thus Vince took the book on his own and now I think he's doing a bunch of power plays, like dropping RVD into mid-card hell. Triple H had been attending booking meetings long before they began talking about his return, so I seriously doubt that he was the main provoker in deciding to drop RVD. Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted February 16, 2002 HA! You fool! They've gotten to you! HHH FEARS RVD!
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted February 16, 2002 No wonder the writing sucks. Vince is a 56 year old man trying to write for mostly males 18-35. Vince isn't in touch with today's trends.
Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted February 16, 2002 That's obvious by the dance routine that Benoit played for us a year ago. Vince is not in touch. After seeing him dance, we can see where Shane got some of his moves from.
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted February 16, 2002 Benoit danced? I forgot about that.
Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted February 16, 2002 No, Benoit showed footage of Vince dancing from the 80's. Even in the 80's that "stand back" shit was horrible. If Benoit danced, it was only to mock Vince.
Guest BlackRainbow1025 Report post Posted February 16, 2002 Jazz is the poor man's Chyna?? Jazz, the same women that does a Fisherman's Buster? Chyna, the same women with a press slam? Chyna sucks dude, don't kid yourself. Anyway, Shane was pretty cool. He tried harder than most of the guys when he obviously doesn't have to, being a McMahon. The dancing was to be annoying, and it worked like a charm. Vince needs to step aside and let others write again. There just doesn't seem to be any sort of development to any feuds excluding his or anything related closely to him.
Guest The Vanilla Midget Report post Posted February 16, 2002 that "stand back" bit was golden, i'm laughing now thinking of vince singing and dancing, with hogan playing guitar in background, it was priceless
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted February 16, 2002 Weren't the Slammy Awards supposed to return last year? I remember the "Stand Back" bit. I found it funny.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted February 16, 2002 Slammies rule. But if they were around HHH would be winning everything, because they are fixed. And on that note... I bid you all good night.
Guest The Vanilla Midget Report post Posted February 16, 2002 i think the slammy awards are past their relevence now. there is absolutely no illusion that pro wrestling is real, and it wouldnt really be all that interesting to watch. but look for steph to book herself into winning all the awards. Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted February 16, 2002 Regarding jazz-Chyna. Women's wrestling in North America sucks period. No argument. As for Shane's bumps, he could afford to bump like hell to get himself over cos he didn't have to go out there every night. It's one of the reasons the Hardys are toasted right now. I don't blame Shane for that but he doesn't have to deal with the rigorous travel schedule that the other spot machines do. Dancing and Wrestling don't mix, esp. when A McMahon is involved. Guest The Vanilla Midget Report post Posted February 16, 2002 actually, you could probably make a case that mcmahon's and wrestling dont mix too well either, but alas, i digress
Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted February 16, 2002 "actually, you could probably make a case that mcmahon's and wrestling dont mix too well either, but alas, i digress" LOL Actually the McMahons in the ring I can live without but they did bring the world Bret, HBK, Owen, Stone Cold, etc. so even though they are clueless half the time they do give an outlet for North Amreican wrestling. Guest BlackRainbow1025 Report post Posted February 16, 2002 Well, yes, American women's wrestling sucks, but if I say that Chyna is no Ayako Hamada, I'll get called a puro elitist and bitched at forever for like puro by the WWF smarks. You have to admit that Jazz is better than Chyna though. I mean, Chyna.....Trish is better than her, at least she sells. I know what you're saying about Shane's bumps. I still respect the guy though b/c most of the WWF guys wouldn't take those bumps even in his circumstances. He's a McMahon, he ESPECIALLY doesn't have to take them, but he did. I don't mind dancing as a taunt, if it's quick and supposed to be annoying. Too Cool is just bad.....they dance before, during and after the match, and I think they are really trying to be cool with it. I liked them better when they were heel and supposed to be stupid looking, not actually cool. Goodnight all.
Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted February 16, 2002 Adios Rainbow. You're right, Chyna sucks more than Jazz but suck over suck is still suck.
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted February 16, 2002 Vince loves that 1980s stuff. I remember reading the Slammy's were coming back on UPN days before WM X-7 was to happen. It never happened.
Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted February 16, 2002 and thank God for that. shane would have probably choregraphed a hip-hop sequence complete with shitty NSync dance routines.
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted February 16, 2002 I always got a kick out of the Slammy's, but I agree. I' glad it didn't happen.
