Promos! The show was chock full of 'em, and they were all pretty darned good. I'm wondering where Pops- er, Longdogger Pete and Erek are going. Promo o' the night goes to the opener, with Wilson vs Edwin vs Thoth with promises of blood.

 

And JD running in on the main event to attack MacPhisto? SWERVE~! And Fallout gets the deuce, and a title shot!

 

I'd say this was a damn fine edition of Storm.

Shows with lots of promos = Good Shows

 

We start off with Thoth's opener, pointing out that he isn't very happy with me. Good promo to get things started.

 

JD's promo was great, Edwin's convo with Raynor was top-notch and the interaction with LDP and Erek were good as well. Promos = Good.

 

This isn't even starting on what were some damn good matches. Thoth, you coulda wrote 22 words..err, a frickin' haiku if you wanted to, and beat Rotten.

 

New US Champ! Chris Raynor's biznitch is the shiznit as he knocks off that streaking rookie and shows he's da man over them crazy Clannies. Fleshandal will bounce back, though, and that rematch is gonna be grrrrrreat. Announce it for PPV now and START - THE - HYPE.

 

Ooo yeah. Retention of the tag belts. I had this match done once and I got the PM from LDP asking me to have Erek interfere, so thats why it feels somewhat awkward. It's not too bad, but could be better.

 

Fallout with the win over Edwin and Sacred?! Fallout proves that he wants in the main event with that smashing win over our two top single champeens. Now if he'd write a bloody promo so he had a character, he'd be all-around greatness. Right now we'll just have to settle for kick-ass match writer.

Congrats 2 Raynor for winning, and a very nice job for thr Tag champs. Excellent match. I personally thought the ending was better than mine, but what the heck.

 

I'm sure that this isn't the last time we'll rumble for the belts, huh Wilson and Stryke? I'm looking forward to another tag title shot in the future.

 

Congrats to Fallout as well, who is certainly racking up the big wins here in the SWF.

I would hope not, Sir Ketchum. It was an absolute blast to write against two guys I've never written against before, and I get lucky again on Smarkdown.

 

That's the great thing if we can get the roster bolstered up: Writing against new opponents. You and Pete have great movesets and it was a pleasure to write against you. I think, just maybe, with that ending I opened up a chance for future conflicts.

I was just saying that not tomorrow, not next week, but WAYYYYYYYY off in the future, if this builds into a feud between the two teams, that maybe there'd be another match.

 

Besides, I have to concentrate on Rotten and then on the PPV.

Sweet, sweet show. Best line of the night comes from Thoth's promo:

 

For those of you who are fucking retarded, a handicap match involves two people against one person.

 

That, to me, is beauty.

 

Good matches all around, but the one that stood out for me was the tag title match. With the absolutely brilliant finish (holding Misty hostage to get the win? God damn that's good! Everyone keeps their heat, Wilson and Stryke are over as nasty-ass heels, and Ash keeps on the side of goodness!) and the Erek return, it was absolutely fantastic. The little dispute between Erek and LDP afterwards was surprising and cool, far from the easy way out, which would have been an X-Force 9 reunion right on the spot. We might get to that logical conclusion, but it looks like it'll be an interesting trip.

 

Further mad propness goes to JD, for crafting a cool return/promo/swerve. I tell you, with Wilson's promos, JD's swerve angle...really, it gives me a ton of stuff to work with. This is great. Fallout also gets king props for writing some convincing double-team sequences between three guys who hate each other, and a really hot finish, too.

 

While there aren't too many grand angles coming together for the PPV, there is a surprising and refreshing amount of character development. I really like this bit of a change--keeping the feuds simpler for once, letting the characters evolve and make conflict totally natural. With all the promos from Thoth, me, JD, and Erek, and interesting takes on character relationships, this was a very fun show to read.

Aight I'm cool with that. Thoth's promo was tight. Choke on your own blood? Way too much imagery. Clan = scary bedtime thoughts

 

I don't even know Erek and I marked when he came out. I marked more after that thing with LDP. JD with the swerve, I was sure he had turned face. And the evil that is Chris Wilson and Stryke continues. Stryke v Ash is gonna rock and Fallout wins a chance at a chance for the title.

 

And I'm done.

 

No actually i'm not. Rayn man pulling out the W over the clan. Flesher v Raynor is gold for a PPV.

I didn't mean it like that Erek. I just only read one of your matches and haven't gotten the chance to PM you or anything. I know who you are and quite frankly who doesn't. Before i started reading WF matches all i heard about was nobody can beat former JLer Erek Taylor. And that matches you won should no longer be considered upsets.

Thoth's opening promo would hve been the best on the show had he not been out done by the midcarders, Ash and LDP/Taylor/Ash (not sure who wrote it). But still, should be interesting to see what happens between Thoth and Wilson, and when you throw Edwin in the mix, and now Fallout...damn...should be good fun.

 

I'm marking out for the midcard. Taylor makes a huge return to help out Ash and LDP...too bad it was after they lost the match, but still, that angle is starting to look real good.

 

Sorry about last night, for those that were effected. I was drunker than I thought I was, and I wasn't even close to thinking straight. But, I suppose it all worked out in the end.

 

Good job peoples. We're well on our way to making this place rock again!
