PROMO (Stubby P. McWeed);

"Hey...a Smarkdown card. I almost forgot this show even existed!

--------------------------------------------

Show: SWF Smarkdown

Date: June 24, 2002

Arena: The American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida!

Due date: June 24, 2002 at 12PM (noon) board time.

Note – PPV this Sunday! So get your storylines and whatnot in order!

HARDCORE MATCH

Ash Ketchum vs. Johnny Rotten

- Ash Ketchum will likely be facing Stryke in a hardcore title match this Sunday and he’ll try to get back in the garbage groove on Smarkdown.

Match Description – Regular DQ and count-out rules are not in effect. Submissions, pinfalls and knockouts count anywhere within the arena.

Word Limit: 3000 words

Send to: BA_Baracus

WACKY MIS-MATCHED 6 MAN TAG MATCH!

Thoth & Durandal vs. Stryke & Xero vs. Mercury & Chris Raynor

- Thoth returned on Storm and set his sights on Chris Wilson (and his allies, such as Stryke) while on the same show Raynor defeated Durandal to become the US champ and Xero and Mercury squared off. Which team will mesh best and come out the winner?

Match Description – DQ and count-out rules are in effect. 3 men are allowed in the ring at once and each man can only tag his assigned partner. The first team to score a pinfall, submission or knockout is the winner.

Word Limit: 4500 words

Send to: Suicide King

NON-TITLE SINGLES MATCH

Edwin MacPhisto vs. Jay Dawg

- Leading into the Storm main-event it appeared as if Jay Dawg (who returned on the show) had some sort of beef with Sacred. It turned out to be a ruse though, as he ended up hitting MacPhisto over the head with a chair and costing him the match! The current heavyweight champ gets a shot at revenge this Monday.

Word Limit: 4000 words

Send to: HVilleThugg

3-WAY MATCH FOR THE #1 CONTENDERSHIP TO THE SWF HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE

Fallout vs. Chris Wilson vs. Erek Taylor

- Fallout won a triple threat match on Storm to earn a place in this match, against an opponent that at the time was a mystery. Well, it turns out he doesn’t just have one opponent, but two! He’ll go up against the recently resurgent Chris Wilson and Erek Taylor who returned on Storm and attacked Wilson. Who will face Edwin MacPhisto next Sunday?

Match Description – DQ and count-out rules are in effect. Once someone is eliminated via pinfall, submission or knockout they must leave ringside and can no longer participate in the match. The last man surviving is the winner.

Word Limit: 6000 words

Send to: BA_Baracus

Ooo..nifty card.

That 6-man looks good and I'm psyched about my match. Two of the hottest writers in the fed for a shot at the title? Can't beat that with a two-dollar South Vietnamese prostitute.

JD/Edwin is going to be interesting, and I don't think Rotten is even around anymore. Oh well. Grind him in to the dirt if we need a curtain-jerker.

EDIIIIT - Stubbster, unless we get boardtime changed around, 12 PM boardtime, as I just realized in looking at my post, is 8 in the morning. Can we change that, possibly?

Card looks quite tasty.

The 6-man Tag match should be fun to write, and i'm definately looking forward to reading the main event, which should be fantastic.

Nice. JD, hit me up on IM and we'll plan some stuff out.

Also, Stubby: like Wilson said, can we change the due time, to, say, 12 PM pacific, or maybe even 12 PM eastern? Like we said on the community board, 8 am just doesn't make sense. Word.

PROMO (Stubby P. McWeed);

"Er...okay, about the time thing.

I've just been copy and pasting the basic card template since way back in the IGN days. Thus "board time" doesn't really mean board time.

I have no idea what's actually up with the time on these boards, so when I say 12 pm board time, I actually 12 pm central time I guess. Since most of you live in North America that means the matches are due anywhere from 10 am to 2 pm.

As for the Australians...heck if I know. Basically just add an extra two hours to when you had to get things in on the IGN boards.

Of course there's always a few hours leeway when it comes to the deadline and extensions are available.

Mothernature says, got it?"

YO! Why has no one mentioned that Erek Taylor, a relative newbie, could be facing Edwin on Sunday?? That would be huge!! I think it would be the fastest rise in history!!

GO EREK!!

Because, Thugg, the thought scares me. Remember, I'm HOLDIN' EM ALL DOOOOWN!

That would be an amazing fight, and if Erek were to win two in a row somehow, I do believe he might be the fastest bump to win the World. Correct me if I'm (most likely) wrong.

I think you'd be right, Annie. I think both Thugg and Mag took about 5 months to win their first titles...probably about the same amount of time for Divefire, too.

Oo, all this speculation, just makes me so tingly...

6 months...for me at least.

I arrived in the WF after the May PPV. I won the title off ELM in November. Simple math tells us that June to November is 6 months silly kids.
