Guest Report post Posted May 14, 2008 Although SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero stripped Undertaker of the World Heavyweight Championship (WATCH the SmackDown Rebound), The Deadman has the opportunity to regain the gold in a title match with Edge at Judgment Day. (Match preview) The Ultimate Opportunist earned the spot after winning last week’s Championship Chase to Judgment Day. Read the full story… But now that the GM has angered The Deadman, will he wait until the big pay-per-view encounter to unleash hell, or will he bring pain to some poor soul on this Friday’s SmackDown? And as for the Ultimate Opportunist – after losing to Undertaker at both WrestleMania XXIV and Backlash – what measures is he willing to go to recapture the gold? As Judgment Day approaches, what might we see from last week’s Championship Chase participants, including United States Champion Matt Hardy, Big Show, Batista, Finlay and Montel Vontavious Porter. With Edge and Undertaker guaranteed a match at the big pay-per-view encounter, who might be next? And what about SmackDown’s undefeated Superstars, Vladimir Kozlov and Natalya? Can they keep their streaks alive? Find out the answers to these questions and more on Friday Night SmackDown at 8/7 CT on The CW Network Non-spoiler match listing Chuck Palumbo vs. CM Punk Michelle McCool vs. Layla Vladimir Kozlov vs. Funaki Cherry vs. Maryse Shelton Benjamin vs. Matt Hardy There are other matches, but non-spoiler and all that. Don't post them. Hardy vs. Benjamin sounds very good. Rest sounds very skippable, and I probably will.

Kristianna 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2008 That whole segment came off way better that I thought it would. You're too forgiving. Honestly, since Smackdown is pre-taped, they probably could have, and should have, edited that down a bit.

Kristianna 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2008 Hell yeah, Night of Champions. My guy and I already have our tickets to that. It's been too long since I've been to a PPV event.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2008 I've never been to a PPV event.
Kristianna 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2008 Oh man, I love going to live events, and PPVs are even more awesome. We're definitely going to make the drive down to Houston for Wrestlemania this year, too. I'm buying tickets for that as soon as they're available. Oh, and Shelton needs to re-dye his hair. Its more like the bronze standard at this point.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2008 Yeah, live events are great. I've been to a number of major TV shows for WCW and WWE. Just no actual PPVs.

Celtic Guardian 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2008 Yeah...Mick Foley is fucking horrible tonight, wow. There was some strangeness from Foley to be sure. Foley led up to the Batista segment by pushing Bats' single-minded focus on the title, a segue that made no sense since Batista talked the whole time about Shawn Michaels. I'm not sure where Foley was going with all the limbo/mambo jokes during the Kozlov match either. The point is supposed to be for the commentators to help get Kozlov over as a serious monster heel, a task undermined by Foley's dance references. As long as we're at it, Foley has to stop referring to Finlay as Fit Finlay. That was Finlay's WCW ring name, it has never been used duing Finlay's current WWE wrestling stint. If we're going to call Adamle on the carpet for referring to The Miz as Mike the Miz, let's do the same here.
FroGG_NeaL 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2008 Foley also called Edge the R-Rated Superstar. And during the Palumbo match, he said they liked to call the fallaway slam into a samoan drop the S.O.S. Then he asked Cole if they were allowed to say the meaning of it on air. Foley's reaction when Cole brought up Mick's friendship with Snoop Dogg has me thinkin' Mick is probably just fried, and has had so many hits to the head and concussions that he gets shit confused sometimes. Which is understandable. I haven't had nearly as many head injuries as Foley and I'm that way. Give him a month. He'll be alright. As for Adamale, I don't know where the fuck they're going with his whole I suck but I know it so it's okay angle, but there was like 20 minutes of ECW with Tazz saying something every few minutes, then Adamale would resond with something retarded, Tazz would correct him, then more silence untill they would do that again. That's terrible, whether it's a gimmick or not. I'm all for him sucking and not caring, but I can't stand to watch a wrestling match with mostly silence the entire time.
