Matt Young 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2008 My computer is in dire straits right now and I need to reinstall Windows. There are, however, a select few things I'd like to save. My pictures are irreplaceable. I'd also like to save my downloaded music and my bookmarks. If anyone can tell me how I'd go about getting these to fit on CD-Rs that I could use to re-upload the stuff to the computer once I perform the re-install, I would be very grateful. JJMc 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2008 Well, you would probably need quite a few CD-Rs. Even with ZIP or RAR compression it would be kind of impractical if you have a very large amount of songs/pictures/whatever. If you don't have a DVD burner, either pick one up (very cheap) or get yourself a USB hard drive (little more $$). I don't know how much stuff you're talking about but some type of external hard drive would be the easiest and best I'd say.
Prophet of Mike Zagurski 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2008 Depending on how much stuff you have, you should consider a portable HD or flash drive.
