Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 I'm sure he tapped when he was a heel...and the ref was knocked out. Never to end a match. At least to my knowledge.
Guest Kingpk Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 Why can't they build feuds that go past one month anymore? Thank God for EWR. RVD will beat Taker at Summerslam for the title and I sent Brock back to OVW.
Guest Rabbi_wilson13 Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 How did we not even get Booker/Pac or Booker/Show?! They'd suck, but at least the Book could go over. I pray that we don't see RVD/Jericho for the IC Title. I don't care what stip it is..how can you even suggest that?! Jericho was UNDISPUTED CHAMPION! What other WWF champ would go to IC that quickly? Damn you, WWF. I'm not pessimistic...I look for the good. And the good right now would be... Well, Taker kept the title. He can continue his good work with the midcarders. Oh, and now we have a heel/heel main event to build-up for the Summer Spectacular. Wait, thats not good. We'll get Rock/HHH in a Totally over face/crappy tweener feud. And I like HHH matches, other than when he's burying Y2J... I just tried to think of some cool angle to save it, but why try?! It won't work. They won't do it, or anything remotely like it. God forbid you push somebody new who's a proven **** match producer. Only wish we had a few lying around. Oh wait. Hehe...we do. I'm not against Brock winning it, but the way he did and how things turned out. You know somebody's losing either the shot or the title before SS. At least if it was RVD/Taker you'd think that wouldn't happen.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 that gives me an idea. I'm starting a WWE one now...I'll put RVD over Brock in the finals. And I think we all know who's going over at SummerSlam!
Guest Flyboy Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 I'm sure he tapped when he was a heel...and the ref was knocked out. Never to end a match. At least to my knowledge. Excatly. Especially in WCW, with the Sting/Hogan feud I believe.

Guest Kingpk Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 Bps, you better set your computer back to May since a new EWR game starts on the first of the next month (that is, a game played in June your time starts on July 1, game time.)
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 The following is the official WWE.com RAW preview: After plowing through four rounds of competition, "The Next Big Thing" Brock Lesnar became the 2002 King of the Ring after defeating Rob Van Dam on Pay-Per-View! On RAW, the new king will begin his reign as he makes his first appearance on WWE television since obtaining the crown. Also, The Undertaker retained his WWE Undisputed Championship after narrowly defeating Triple H on Sunday night. Afterwards, The Rock, Triple H and Taker all went at each other in the ring. Who will Taker set his sights on next? Will The Great One be his No. 1 target? The fallout from King of the Ring will also be sure to continue on RAW. What will Trish Stratus have to say about losing his Women's Championship match to Molly? What words will Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit have for Bubba Ray Dudley after Bubba helped Ric Flair defeat Latino Heat? You can't miss RAW, Monday at 9/8 CT on TNN, live from the Gund Arena in Cleveland, Ohio! CAn't miss Raw? HAHAHAHHAHAHAHHA. Anything in there make me want to watch Raw?

Guest Flyboy Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 CAn't miss Raw? HAHAHAHHAHAHAHHA. Anything in there make me want to watch Raw? Well... I don't see Booker T... I don't see RVD getting a rematch.... hmmm... nope.

RVD vs Jericho Ladder Match for the IC Title sounds a whole lot better than say, any other match they could book him in with an opponent from Smackdown. Jericho vs Booker T sounds pretty good also.

Guest Chuck Woolery Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 EWR. Get it. Now. - Mike Van Siclen. Amen. Edit: You guys suck. Not really, I'm just trying to get over as a heel.
Guest Kingpk Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 Thank quick reply for that. Make em' C & P the link, I say. Lazy bastards.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 Im going to have to settle for RVD vs Taker HIAC at Summerslam on WM X-8.
Guest Prince Paul Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 Props to Hogan and the writing team, for having Hogan tap to Angle. Thank god Taker beat HHH. RVD vs Jericho ruled! Rock/Booker/Goldust promo was arguably the best part of the PPV, besides RVD vs Jericho. And why the fuck did Lesnar SQUASH RVD like that? What about the summer of RVD? Fuck you in your stupid asshole Vince McMahon!
Guest TheHulkster Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 Im sure RVD Vs Taker would probably be a good match, and it would be nice to see RVD with some undisputed gold, but would it really draw as well as Brock Vs the Rock at Summerslam? The Rock is a big time player and Brock has an extremely imposing persona. Hollywood megastar and the WWE Champion Vs the Undefeated Monster who just won the King of the Ring is more attractive to the casual fan (In a Hogan-Andre sorta way) than High Flying IC Champ Vs The Biker with the belt any way you slice it. The average joe doesn't know that the Rock is fiming his next movie soon after and will go into SS wondering who will win. Brock wins the belt from the Rock, a new star will be born, like it or not. I trust the WWE's judgement (*gasp* can you believe it?) when it comes to Brock. Six years ago they gave a push to this guy named rocky maivia, you might have heard of him. They said he was going to be the man to lead the wwf into the future and everyone on the net shit all over them. We all know what happened with him. If those same guys, men who have seen everyone come and go and have been in the business for 20-30 years say Brock is the future, then damn it he's the future.

" I agree with this as long as it isn't suggesting that Brock is a bigger draw than RVD right now. Cause RVD isn't exactly paired with Rock's drawing power. BUT...again...the storyline payoff would be better in Taker vs. RVD.

Uhm, actually, did not HHH do exactly that when he won the IC title (can't remember who from, possibly Kane) and then lost to Jeff Hardy?

Sure, they shoved HHH down our damn throats until he was over as well and that's only because of Foley and his marriage to stephanie. If they push Brock down our throats enough, I'm sure he could get over. But that means enduring some pretty painful times right now. Maybe Brock should be taken off TV for a little bit and retool his gimmick and everything, just like Rocky did, before he got anywhere near over.

Guest Frankie Williams Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 I'm sure he tapped when he was a heel...and the ref was knocked out. Im pretty sure he gave up while in the touture rack when he lost the WCW title to Luger in 97. I know thats not tapping but he still gave up. HOGAN IS A QUITTER!!!
Guest cabbageboy Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 This show truly disgusted me on so many levels. You know who is going to be the biggest loser out of this whole mess? Brock Lesnar. That's right. By getting this huge undeserved push so fast and not being over, it will kill his career before it even gets started. I saw him in two matches tonight and both sucked, and not due to his opponents. The guy literally stands around in the ring not knowing what to do. He doesn't even really destroy people. The crowd was so utterly stunned and depressed after he beat RVD that there was no way any main event would have revived them. This is one of those WCW type shows where there is truly something to piss off everyone. I'm not quite going to torch the WWE for the KOTR finals result, I have a feeling that they wouldn't possibly have Lesnar main SS unless he gets WAY more over in the next month. I'm telling you, if they put the title on Lesnar there will be a backlash like you've never seen. Not just the smart fans, but the casual fans will be revolted if he kills the Rock. The guy is Ludvig Borga with Yokozuna's heat and mic skills and is getting Mabel's Push From Hell. I think that sums it up.
