cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2008 Hmm...I have to admit that's a somewhat underwhelming debut for Tropic Thunder. I wonder if the Olympics heating up took away some dollars? Or maybe it simply looks too strange for some people?
Gary Floyd 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2008 Honestly, I expected "Clone Wars" to do better. "Mirrors" did better than I thought it would though.
LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2008 Mamma Mia at 116 million, and still making respectable cash, is astounding. Anyone know what the studio expected it to make?
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2008 Given the reviews Clone Wars is getting I'd say that's a decent figure.
King Kamala 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2008 Fly Me To The Moon's somewhat respectable PSA is proof that people will see anything in 3D. Either that or parents are desparate for kids movies. Wall-E is still in some theaters and there's the new Star Wars but other than that there's not much. Still it sounds like one of the most astoundingly stupid sounding movies ever. Apparently, it has a live action insert at the end where Buzz Aldrin tells us that it was not physically possible for flys to have hitched a ride onto Apollo 11. Well no shit Buzz, you killjoy! bob_barron 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2008 Fly Me to the Moon's PSA is also because 3D movies have inflated ticket prices
Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted August 18, 2008 Was rooting for Batman, but I knew it wouldn't happen this week
fazzle 0 Report post Posted August 18, 2008 Was definitely expecting more for Clone Wars. Not too sad that I'm wrong though.
