Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2008 Ugh...The constant powerbomb reversal spot was definitely a pet peeve of mine. Yeah. I hated any time when a guy had a spot (especially a trick spot) that HAD to be worked into every single match.
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2008 More than anyone I think Foley hurt how Mero is perceived with his trashing of the guy in his first book. I sometimes wonder what Mero would have done if he had come back to the WWF circa 1999 instead of Sable suing the company. Thing is I don't see much beyond being another Corporation goon for him. Maybe a feud with Shamrock in a boxer vs. UFC deal.
PILLS! PILLS! PILLS! 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2008 Marty Jannetty, should've been a huge star. That fuckin' guy. There has never been a single minute of my tenure as a wrestling fan where I wasn't behind this guy. I always wanted him to be right up there in the main event with HBK. But he absolutely has nobody else to blame for his professional failures but himself. More than anyone I think Foley hurt how Mero is perceived with his trashing of the guy in his first book. I sometimes wonder what Mero would have done if he had come back to the WWF circa 1999 instead of Sable suing the company. Thing is I don't see much beyond being another Corporation goon for him. Maybe a feud with Shamrock in a boxer vs. UFC deal. Well, he trashed him (unfairly in my opinion) up until the point where he went heel in 1997, where he said that Mero had really come into his own as one of the best heel personalities.
