Chris Jericho Has Snapped

Recommended Posts

Guest chirs3

1) Most reviews I read were three-to-four star range. I plan on downloading it if it comes up on Kazaa to see for myself, but the general consensus seems to be "Very good, just not great".

2) AotC was boring for a few stretches. The last hour is the greatest thing ever, though.

You know something? Chris Jericho needs to grow what we call the fuck up. Some schmuck writes a bad review of a match? So what? Ignore the prick and move on with your life just like you would do if he wrote a newspaper review. The internet is just an outlet for individual people to communicate. It's not a collective hive mind where we all think alike. Is it so hard to figure out who brings out constructive comment and those that are talking out of their asses?

Ok, if you didn't like the match, stop watching wrestling...Ok Chris....So, if I didn't like HHH/Taker, should I stop watching wrestling too? Maybe Taker will cut a promo on the Smarks and go "My match had methodical pacing and tremendous near falls. Like it, you fat internet fucks, cuz if you don't, then stop watching wrestling, you sons of bitches!"

Uh, I think he's talking in general about how everyone nit-picks the WWF and matches on the *slightest* detail. Basically, he's saying "If you (the people in general) don't like what the WWE is putting out... if you don't like the matches the wrestler's are working... if you must whine, bitch and complain at every end... Why don't you go fuck off and stop watching it?"

Well, he guarantees that he reads all of his mail, so I sent him an E-mail asking him to reconsider grouping all of these negative people together with neutral and positive people. I wonder if he'll respond.

Uh, no, the internet is a place where we're all anonymous, and can therefore say whatever the fuck we want.

I have to say I agree with this person 100%. I found Jericho/RVD to be a great match, that I'd rate at either ***3/4 or ****, very good match. So I don't like being grouped together as a "smark" that always thinks one way and always thinks negativley. Like this person said, the internet is a way for people to communicate. Not all people on the internet think a certain way- one man's DUD is another man's **** classic.

Why does everybody keep bringing up Meltzer. He has not said a thing about the match. He was not watching the PPV during the radio show, and he has posted nothing about it on his web site. Only Alvarez has mentioned it on the web site, saying it was sloppy but the best match of the night.

Chris had a pretty good site too. It's a damn shame he's so frustrated and is overlooking the fact that there are a lot of people out there who are grateful for such an awesome performance (**** in my book). It also kind of sad some smarks will bitch at Vince Mcmahon for "not being able to see what is wrong with his company" and then saying bullshit like Jericho is frustrated for being held down by Triple H or whatever bullshit cover up story they can think of so it looks like Jericho isn't pointing the finger at them. Face it, Jericho doesn't want to hear the constant negativity any more because not only is it fucking annoying, but it drives some people to overlook everything thats good in wrestling just because of some stereotype you want to fill, which is not the stereotype to be because you turn into one of the people the people you look up to hate.

First all of the HHHaters were proved wrong and made to look like retards when HHH didn't win the title.

Then one of their idols rips them a new asshole.

Life is sweet.

Of course, Jericho was jobbed out in the first match of the show, RVD is stuck in the midcard, and this Brock winning deal can only lead to HHH beating him at Summerslam, but okay.

I emailed him something along those lines myself, to show him that not everyone that follows the net is a self righteous, pompous douche bag (like the people who gave KOR a 1.0 out of 10 at the torch, a 1.0?! If a wrestling fan gives a show with a **** match a 1.0, they should stop fucking watching wrestling and take up watching bowling).

I'm suprised that Chris Jericho is throwing such a temper tantrum because Dave Meltzer didn't like the match. A lot of people who I know that saw Jericho vs. RVD said it was easily the match of the night. He's right though. A lot of internet "know it all's" have to bitch about something and are never happy with anything. I'm not saying it's the entire "smarks" community, but there are a lot of net fans who are just never happy. The way Chris went about to say it though shows his short-tempered personality.......

i think he's working us. from what i've heard, jericho is quite a humble and soft-spoken individual when he's not in character. i seriously doubt he'd stop reading all his email after some pw torch crap, and i can't picture him calling himself one of the best wrestlers in the world without his tongue in his cheek.

Though Jericho's essential point that some smarks will bitch about anything was a valid one, his execution was a little off.

No matter how many things the WWE does to make people happy, they will always find something to hate. Take last night, for instance. The smarks around here had their dreams come true with Hogan losing to Angle cleanly and Undertaker retaining against Triple H, but since RVD didn't win KotR, they cry and moan. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, I'm merely pointing out the facts.

There are also the people who continue to trash every single PPV, all while continuing to shell out $35 a month ("I can't believe I wasted my money on this shit!" is a common smark cry. Just check out the Reader Feedback at the Torch for proof.). Who the fuck are these people who keep wasting their money on a product they clearly do not enjoy, and what the fuck is wrong with them?

Jericho, however, does veer into the "accept-the-pap-we-feed-you" territory which sullies his argument a little bit. Of course we have the right to be critical of what we see. If I'm not enjoying something--be it a movie or a wrestling match--then why am I not enjoying it? It is on this point that Jericho and I part ways.

Ultimately, even if I think he's right, I believe he's overreacting. Get some rest, Chris, you'll feel better when you wake up.

The torch is an editorialized piece of shit anyway. Jericho/RVD was definitely the match of the night. I wouldn't call it a ****1/2 classic performance like he did, maybe if all the strikes had made good contact, (they came across as sloppy, anyone else agree?) I'd give it ***3/4, and Scott Keith is retarded if he thought it got disjointed towards the finish. I thought the early parts of the match were sloppy, leading to a good amount of near falls and good action. Too bad HHH/UT tanked the fucker though with their shitfest. HHH is the most boring babyface ever, hands down, and UT is so over the hill that I couldn't possibly care about his matches or work anymore.

Well-Said.

I don't criticize guys who go out, bust their ass, and give us a very good match. I will criticize the finish, the context, the build and aftermath, but not the wrestlers or the match itself. And that is our right, as wrestling fans, to do. Any wrestler who bitches at fans is acting 'holier than thou'. If someone paid $30 to watch you wrestle, then fuck, LET THEM THINK WHATEVER THEY WANT TO THINK!

Way to alienate part of your fanbase Jericho. That is exactly what the Wwf needs right now.

I just don't get Wrestlers bashing Internet fans on the internet.

ok, there is no question the jericho-rvd match was the match of the night but it was followed by pure crap. crap of the highest order. crap to the nth degree. crap that makes other crap smell good.

ok, so the booking made sense in angle-hogan but hogan is a fucking senior citizen and the match sucked the left nut of a koala bear.

the lesnar matches were abysmal and is not ready to be elevated or pushed or even ready to be wrestling on the two main shows.

the taker-trips match was an insult to any wrestling fans's intelligence. rocky was the only person during that match to get any heat and he wasn't even a participant. so taker-rock-trips fight next month while two cripples leech off the great one's heat.

and the smarks don't have a right to voice thier disapproval? FUCK THAT! Maybe Jericho needs to re-evaluate why he is wrestling and the company he works for, not bitch about internet junkies who find fault in a shitty card. Hey, his match was like a big tub of ice cream that got covered by a dumptruck full of manure.

Typical smarks response

From smarksnet.com

"It looks to me our Canadian "Living Legend" is fed up with his internet audience. How nice of him to lash out against the very audience that were always supportive of him and his work. I guess it is all our fault that King of the Ring sucked! " I am now finished with the internet and I'm finished with this site because I hate what you marks are doing. You've spoiled it for me. Your negativity is ridiculous. You all come off like a bunch of bitter know-it alls...." To read the whole thing, click here. "

Jericho is wrong. His match was good, ****1/2 it was not. Sure it was the best match on the card because THE CARD SUCKED! His match was expected to be the best on the card.

As for the match being a MOTYC, there have only been like 2 other match of the year canidates this year and they blew last night's match out of the water. IMO, the MOTY is RVD-Eddy (Ladder), followed by Rock-Jericho (Rumble).

If he can't take a little criticism and an impartial opinion, for all I care he can get the F off 'net.

Boy, that man needs a break. I think that would do him good. Get him off TV for a few months, give a vacation. When he comes back, he'll probably be refreshed and a lot more interesting.

"I don't think he meant just one match. If you don't like WWE and you whine and bitch about everything, then why watch it? "

Ok, but there's been a helluva lot NOT to like in recent months. If we say nothing, the WWE will assume we like this shit and feed us more. As to his performance last night, Chris shouldn't have been set off by one negative review by a single mark. Now, if everyone had been trashing his performance, I could see it. If Chris - or any of Chris' "people" visit sites such as this one - then he'd know that most smarks are very supportive of him.

Like somebody else said, get some sleep, Chris. And save your venom for the people (backstage) who seemingly do want to denigrate & downgrade you.

Quite a few of the reviews on the Torch called it match of the night and talked about how good it was. Maybe they all hadn't been put up by the time he read it.

After some more consiteration...he is working us. He's a heel, yet Smarks are his biggest fans...we love him. He wants to have a good heel character where everybody hates him, why not turn against the smarks?

Want some whine to go with that cheese. It's someones opinion Chris. Get over it.

I really hope he was angry about his poor treatment the last few months. Because if he's content with his spot on the roster than maybe all his supporters should think about backing someone else.
