Matt Young 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2008 I bought tickets to a TNA Wrestling show yesterday. When my friend and I made the purchase, we were told to keep the tickets away from heat or direct sunlight, or else they would turn black and we would not be able to use them. Has anyone else been told this when purchasing tickets recently? Is this some strange security measure?
Guest Report post Posted October 16, 2008 Which one, the one in Ontario? I thought about going, but don't really have the money right now.
Jingus 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2008 Some tickets do that. Certain types of paper turn black if exposed to heat. I found this out the hard way working in a restaurant, when n00bs would always stick the wrong receipt up next to the heat lamps and destroy them. I don't know why the Ticketmaster tickets would be made out of such paper, but I imagine it's some sort of anti-counterfeit measure.
