Herb Abrams welcomes the tv audience to the new WWF, which he promotes as the “past, present, and future” of professional wrestling. He thanks the World Wildlife Fund, for allowing him to use the familiar initials, the Sentrillion Corporation for giving the company the funding it badly needs, and the devil for creating this nice timeless void they currently exist in.

 

Abrams introduces his announcing partner, JBL, who has never heard of Sentrillion despite being a stock market genius. Abrams assures the fans that he is charge and his backers will remain hands-off. With that we go to the first match of the new promotion.

 

1. Rob Van Dam vs. 2 Cold Scorpio

before RVD takes advantage of a missed corkscrew moonsault to get the win at 17:49.

 

Mean Gene climbs in the ring to interview the winner, but Scorpio interrupts and gives RVD a. ... handshake. Abrams praises his class while JBL gags.

2. Demolition (w/ Mr. Fuji) vs. Barry Hardy & Dwayne Gill

This is a one-sided affair that ends quickly as Gill goes down to the Decapitation at 1:24.

 

Fuji puts over his team as the best in the industry and challenges anybody to prove him wrong.

 

Abrams announces that the battle to become the inaugural WWF World Heavyweight Champion will begin tonight with a 20-man battle royale. The last two men in the ring will compete in one semifinal, while the final two from next week’s battle royale will make up the other semi match. JBL puts his money on Ted Dibiase being one of the co-winners tonight, and reminds Herb that he is a stock market genius.

 

Ricky “the Dragon” Steamboat conducts an interview with Mean Gene, outlining the reasons why he won’t be easy to toss over the ropes.

Ted Dibiase talks to Kevin Kelly assuring Steamboat that with his money and power, he can defeat anyone, anytime.

 

3. Battle Royal

The contestants are Ricky Steamboat, Dusty Rhodes, Cactus Jack, Tommy Dreamer, Rey Mysterio, Jeff Hardy,Matt Hardy, Mikey Whipwreck , Dean Malenko, Marty Janetty, Ted Dibiase, Mr. Perfect, Arn Anderson, Shane Douglas, Bam Bam Bigelow, Doink, Jeff Jarrett, Mark Canterbury, Joey Matthews, & Keith Cole.

 

Bigelow starts things off by tossing Whipwreck, Cactus takes out Matthews, Perfect and Arn team up to knock out Dreamer, The Hardys toss Cole, and both are sent out by Bigelow, Steamboat eliminates Doink as we take an...

We return to see Janetty go flying, leaving us with Steamboat, Rhodes, Cactus, Mysterio, Dibiase, Perfect, Anderson, Bigelow, & Jarrett. Rhodes eliminates Jarrett, while Rey makes the mistake of going to the top rope and gets pushed out by Bigelow. Perfect & Arn charge at Steamboat, but the dragon ducks and Cactus tosses the enforcer. Dusty and the Bammer fight on the ropes and Dibiase is able to eliminate both of them.

When we come back, the final four are still battling it out. Steamboat is fighting Dibiase and Cactus is brawling with Perfect. Steamboat and Cactus whip their opponents into each other and Cactus is able to toss a dazed Perfect. It’s 2 on 1 against Ted, but they can’t manage to get him out. Cactus turns on Steamboat and tosses him over the top. Cactus Jack and Ted Dibiase are the co-winners at 19:32.

 

Cactus Jack stands in the ring arguing with Steamboat, allowing Dibiase to cheap shot him. The show ends with Ted standing over him gloating.

Herb Abrams welcomes us to another exciting edition of the Fury Hour and introduces JBL. Herb hypes tonight’s battle royal which will determine the second semifinal in the World Heavyweight title tourney. He names some of the favorites: Bret Hart, Rick Rude, and Shawn Michaels. JBL predicts an easy victory for the ravishing one, and reminds Herb once again that he is a stock market genius.

 

1. Tommy Dreamer (w/ Beulah) vs. Shane Douglas (w/ Francine)

These four competitors can’t keep it in the ring, and end up brawling on the outside for the double countout at 7:26. Shane takes Dreamer down with a Pittsburgh Plunge onto the exposed concrete floor. Douglas and Francine take off while Beulah comes to Tommy’s aid.

Mean Gene interviews Shane about what he did. Douglas insults Tommy and says he doesn’t belong in the WWF. Francine calls Beulah an ugly skank.

 

2. Dusty Rhodes vs. Mark Canterbury (w/Dennis Knight)

Dusty has the upper hand for most of the match, but Knight’s interference prevents a victory. Jeff Jarrett walks down the aisle watching the match. Rhodes drops the elbow and goes for a cover but Knight runs in and gets his partner dq’d at 4:20. Afterwards Dusty is fighting the duo when Jarrett pulls out a guitar from under the ring and nails the dream with it. The three of them beat down the fat man until security breaks it up.

 

A vignette for Kerry Von Erich hypes his family’s proud tradition of wrestling excellence.

Kevin Kelly questions Jarrett and co. about their attack on Rhodes. Jeff tells him their business is theirs alone. Kelly asks if it had anything to do with Dusty eliminating JJ last week. Jarrett threatens to make Kelly his next victim.

 

Colonel Debeers and the Commandant admonish America for electing a “bloody black bastard” as their president. They point out to the violence and corruption in majority-rule South Africa, and warn the USA that their nation is in danger of heading down that same path.

 

Abrams condemns the previous promo while JBL talks about Rick Rude’s chances tonight.

 

3. The Hardy Boyz (w/ Lita) vs. The Mulkeys

 

Hardys win with the Event Omega at 3:11.

Mean Gene interviews Bret Hart, who dedicates this upcoming match to his dad, who’s in the hospital.

 

Kevin Kelly is with the Heenan Family. Bobby Heenan builds up Rick Rude as the first WWF champion. Tully Blanchard reminds him that he’s also competing tonight. Rude tells Tully that tonight is his night, and noone better get in his way. Bobby calms them down by reminding them that there will be two winners tonight.

 

4. Battle Royal

Contestants are: Bret Hart, RVD, Kerry Von Erich, Tatanka, 2 Cold Scorpio, Shawn Michaels, Tajiri, Perry Saturn, Bushwacker Luke, Bushwacker Butch, Rick Rude, Barry Windham, Col. Debeers, CM Punk, Tully Blanchard, Ax, Smash, Dennis Knight, Christian York, & Kent Cole.

 

Rude starts things off by getting rid of Luke, Blanchard tosses Butch, Tatanka takes out York, Von Erich tosses Cole, Demolition sends Saturn out, Punk eliminates Tajiri, Blanchard tosses Von Erich,...

Debeers, Smash, & Knight were eliminated during the break, leaving ten wrestlers left. RVD send out CM Punk, Rude and Windham toss Tatanka, Michaels superkicks Ax over the top. Blanchard sends HBK over the top, but he skins the cat. Tully pushes him down to the floor for the elimination. RVD and Blanchard send each other out leaving our final four.

Bret fights with Rude while Scorpio is paired with Windham. Hart and 2 Cold attempt to whip their opponents into each other, but Rude reverses, sending the hitman into Windham. Debeers comes down the aisle with a racist sign mocking Obama. Herb reveals that Scorpio was the one who eliminated the Colonel. Scorpio slides under the bottom rope to confront him, as Rude attempts to toss Hart. Scorpio tears up the sign and attempts to beat the countout but Debeers grabs his arm to hold him back. Rude and Windham wear down Bret but he rolls out. They attack him as soon as he come back in, but Hart ducks a Rude clothesline and Bret has a chance to knock him out. Barry pushes them both out to end things at 20:14. Hart and Rude are confused, as the match was supposed to have two winners. Herb says they’ll have to review the tape to make a decision. But they’ll have to do it next week because we are out of time.

WWF Fury Hour 11-12

 

Herb Abrams welcomes the tv audience to another exciting edition of WWF Fury Hour. He announces that tonight we’ll see the first match of the 8-man tournament to determine the first Television Champion. That title, as well as the tag and world heavyweight titles, will be awarded at the promotion’s first ppv, WWF Holiday Chaos. JBL asks if the name was originally Christmas Chaos, and Herb admits it was. JBL complains about political correctness.

 

Herb runs down the brackets. Steamboat will face Jarrett, Scorpio will take on Bigelow, and the winners will meet in the semis. RVD will fight Punk, Rhodes will do battle with Perfect, and the winners will meet in the other semi. Abrams announces that in order to get all scheduled matches on each card on the show, A time limit of 10 minutes has been instated. RVD and all the others will have to work on putting their opponent away as quickly as possible.

 

1. The Rockers vs. York/Matthews

Janetty pins York after a Rocker-plex at 6:35.

 

Afterwards, Mean Gene interviews the winners. Shawn says that he’s happy to be back with Marty as a team, and it’ll take more than a broken rope to keep the belts off their waists. Marty adds that while other teams may ape their look and moves, there’s only one Rockers, and it’s the two of them. Gene and Shawn both look confused, and Janetty tells them that they know what he means.

2 Cold Scorpio cuts a promo on Debeers and the Commandant. He tells them that if they think they can go around hating on Black people, they’re mistaken. He’ll be more than happy to set them straight.

 

Doink vs. Mike Bell

Bell submits to a crossface at 2:58. The clown pulls a small squirt gun out of his jacket and shoots a substance into the jobber’s eyes, apparently causing him great pain.

 

Jeff Jarrett tells Kevin Kelly that he can do to Steamboat this week what he did to Rhodes last week. Kelly warns him that he’d be disqualified, but Jarrett tells him that he’s too good to be stopped by such things, and the refs aren’t safe from his wrath if they screw him.

After a quick look back at last week’s controversial battle royal finish, Herb announces that he and the board of directors have decided to have Bret Hart and Rick Rude face each other next week for the right to meet Barry Windham for the WWF title shot. JBL wants to know who is on the board of directors, and why he’s been excluded. Abrams gives a non-answer and plays a...

 

Rey Mysterio vignette, which has him traveling the streets of Tijuana conversing with the locals in Spanish with no subtitles.

 

3. Kerry von Erich vs. Keith Cole (w/ Kent Cole)

Von Erich takes Cole down with the discus punch, but Kent runs in for the dq at 3:47. Kerry is able to clear the ring though.

 

Ricky Steamboat tells Mean Gene that while he is still upset that he isn’t able to compete for the main belt, he would be happy to have any gold, and he certainly would like to let Jarrett know what he thinks of him attacking Dusty. He tells Jeff not to even think about trying to smash a guitar over his head, or else this dragon will burn him.

4. Ricky Steamboat vs. Jeff Jarrett

This match almost goes the time limit, getting briefly interrupted by an (ad break), but the dragon wins with a crossbody at 9:55. Afterwards, Southern Justice comes down and gets in Steamboat’s face, while Jarrett gets a guitar. However, Dusty Rhodes shows up gets his attention. JJ and his goons chase the dream into the back.

 

Just as Steamboat is on his way out, Cactus Jack comes out with a mic. He wants Ricky to know that he is sorry to have tossed him two weeks ago. He assures him that it wasn’t personal, and he still wants to be friends. Steamboat responds that he understands what happened, and he doesn’t hold it against Cactus. He wishes him luck against Ted Dibiase two weeks from now. This is interrupted by Dibiase, who mocks their conversation and tells them that they are nowhere near his level. He calls Cactus a fat slob who’s too poor to get wrestling lessons. He pulls out a thick wad of cash and offers it to Ricky if he’ll soften Jack up. The dragon refuses, and Ted tells him what a fool he is. Dibiase turns to leave, but Bam Bam Bigelow comes out and says he’ll be happy to take the offer. Ted is able to goad Jack into an immediate 1 on 1 match with Bigelow, with the winner getting a second wad of money.

 

5. Hardcore Match: Cactus Jack (w/ Ricky Steamboat) vs. Bam Bam Bigelow (w/ Ted Dibiase)

These two quickly spill out of the ring and brawl throughout the arena. Time runs out and the brawl end in a drawl.

 

Abrams hypes next week’s card, with Hart vs. Rude and RVD vs. Punk. JBL asks if there really is a board of directors, or if that’s the name he gives his blowup doll collection. Herb gets flustered, stutters a bit, and quickly signs off.

WWF Fury Hour

11-19

 

Herb welcomes us to another exciting edition of Fury Hour and hypes tonight’s main event, Bret “the Hitman” Hart vs. “Ravishing” Rick Rude. The winner will face Barry Windham in two weeks for a World Heavyweight Title shot at Holiday Chaos and the loser may have to wait quite a while for his title shot. JBL thinks that with his strength and Bobby Heenan’s intellect, Rude is the hands-on favorite. Abrams is looking forward to tonight’s TV title tourney match between RVD and CM Punk. He reminds us that this match will have a 10 minute time limit.

 

1. Rob Van Dam vs. CM Punk

 

Sure enough, this match fails to finish in the allotted time and both men are eliminated. Punk is pissed and attacks Van Dam. He gets a chair and brings it into the ring, but 2 Cold Scorpio makes the save. Col. De Beers runs in and goes after him.

The Heenan Family are backstage, and Bobby builds up Rude’s match against Hart. Tully brings up The Brainbuster’s match with the Bushwackers, but Rude tells them it’s not important. Perfect and Arn keep them from going at it, while Heenan tries to convince them that both matches are important. It’s just that Bret Hart is a much bigger challenge that the Bushwackers. They all crack jokes about how much the ‘wackers suck, and it seems that all is well in the family.

 

2. The Brainbusters (w/ Bobby Heenan) vs. The Bushwackers

 

The Kiwis put up more of a fight than Arn and Tully expected. However, Tully pins Luke with a diving sunset flip at 4:26.

 

Joel Gertner introduces his new team, Perry Saturn and Dean Malenko, which he’s named S&M. They aren’t too thrilled with the name, but Joel assures them that they won’t have to wear bondage gear or anything. He brings out three ladies that are in bondage gear, whom he calls the Dungeon Divas. Saturn and Malenko roll their eyes while the divas spank Gertner.

Ted Dibiase and Bam Bam Bigelow rip Cactus Jack and tell him to get his ass out there and face them. Jack comes out and says that if they were trying to soften him up last week, they didn’t do a very good job, because he’s ready to fight next week. Dibiase tells Bigelow to do a better job, and he goes after Cactus. They brawl in the aisle and to the back, flooring poor Terry Adonis, who was on his way to the ring.

 

Bret Hart conducts an interview with Kevin Kelly. Bret talks about his father’s condition and promises to give him something to raise his spirits.

3. Rey Mysterio vs. ?

 

Terry Adonis was the original opponent, but he is unable to wrestle due to being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Luckily, they found a replacement.

 

3. Rey Mysterio vs. Doink the Clown

 

It turns out to be quite a competitive match up, but the clown takes the easy way out by pulling a squirtgun out of his jacket and shooting Rey in the eyes for a dq at 8:12. Doink laughs wildly at his opponent’s misery.

 

Tommy Dreamer and Beulah vow revenge against Shane Douglas and Francine.

4. Bret Hart vs. Rick Rude (w/ Bobby Heenan)

 

Barry Windham joins the commentators for this one. The competitors spill out of the ring and end up brawling near the announcing table. Rude has some words for Windham and Barry isn’t pleased. Heenan gets Rude to stay focused, and he and Hart end up back in the ring. Rick takes control and performs a swinging neckbreaker on Bret. Instead of going for a pin, he mouths off to Windham again, which causes Barry to leave the booth to confront the ravishing one. Rude and Windham yell at each other while Heenan attempts in vain to break it up. Rude finally walks away, and goes to finish off the hitman. However, Hart rolls him up for a surprise 123 at 10:18.

 

Barry walks away satisfied, while Bret mildly celebrates. Rude is pissed off and attacks Bret until he sees Windham and goes after him. Herb hypes Cactus Jack vs. Ted Dibiase as next week’s main event and tells us to tune in, while JBL complains about Windham’s interference.

Herb greets the audience and hypes tonight’s big Cactus Jack/Ted Dibiase match-up. The announcers are cut-off by the million $ man himself, who has a video clip to show. The footage shows Bam Bam assaulting Cactus on the loading dock. He supposes that his opponent won’t be able to wrestle tonight. He brings out Bigelow and they have a mutual gloating session. Bam Bam then turns his attention to his opponent in tonight’s TV title quarterfinal, 2 Cold Scorpio. 2CS comes out to respond, and their match quickly gets underway.

 

1. 2 Cold Scorpio vs. Bam Bam Bigelow (w/ Ted Dibiase)

 

Ted involves himself in the match, attacking Scorpio whenever he is tossed out of the ring. He is finally ejected from ringside, but Bigelow wins after catching 2CS coming off the top and power bombing him at 9:26.

When we come back, we see footage of Col. Debeers attacking the fallen Scorpio.

2. S & M (w/ Joel Gertner & The Dungeon Divas) vs. Jake Milliman & Arthur Washington

Saturn pins Milliman after a DVD at 3:11. Afterward, the Divas came in and spanked the milkman.

Mean Gene interviews Shane Douglas about Tommy Dreamer’s promo last week. The Franchise says he can’t wait to shut Dreamer up once and for all, and if Beulah wants to get involved, then he’ll be happy to do the same to her. Francine interrupts to say that they’ll both do the same to her.

 

3. Shane Douglas (w/ Francine) vs. Mikey Whipwreck ( w/ The Sinister Minister)

 

Mikey tells Shane that he’s going to soften him up for Tommy. However, Douglas has control for most of the match. The Minister tries to get involved, but Francine fights him. Beulah comes out and distracts the ref while Shane has Mikey pinned. Douglas argues with the ref and Beulah, and almost gets pinned by Whipwreck. Francine goes after her rival, and Douglas finishes Mikey off with the Pittsburgh Plunge at 7:26. Afterward, Douglas continues on his opponent and attacks The Minister when he gets in the ring. Tajiri makes the save for his team. All 3 members of the Unholy Alliance prevent Shane and Francine from injuring Beulah and send them off.

Ted Dibiase comes out for the main event match accompanied by Bam Bam Bigelow, who is sent to the back. Ted says that he doesn’t need Bam Bam anyway, because Cactus Jack won’t even show up. Just as ref Earl Hebner is about to call the match off, a hobbling Cactus makes an entrance.

 

4. Cactus Jack vs. Ted Dibiase

 

The Million $ Man easily handles the hardcore legend for most of the match. However Jack is able to build a comeback and it looks as if he may pull this one out. However, while attempting a ddt, Cactus gets knocked off his feet and is locked in a figure 4. Dibiase can’t get him to submit, so he flips forwards and bridges for the pin at 6:21.

 

Bam Bam comes out and the two of them add insult to injury. Ricky Steamboat (who will face Bigelow in the TV tournament semifinals), runs in to stop them, and even though it’s essentially 2-on-1, the million dollar team decides to save their strength, and hit the road. The dragon helps Cactus up and they walk to the back.

 

Abrams hypes Bret Hart vs Barry Windham next week, the winner to face Ted Dibiase at Holiday Chaos for the WWF World Heavyweight Title. Also, Mr. Perfect will take on Dusty Rhodes, with a bye to the WWF TV title tournament finals at stake.

Herb Abrams and JBL quickly run down tonight’s card, as the action gets underway quickly.

 

1. Dusty Rhodes vs. Mr. Perfect (w/Bobby Heenan)

Mr. Perfect wins with a roll-up while Dusty was arguing with Heenan at 8:13.

 

Rhodes gets revenge on Hennig and chases the Brain to the back. Herb announces that Perfect will advance to the Television title match at Holiday Chaos.

A vignette narrated by Mean Gene hypes the four tag teams that will be competing in the next match, which will advance the winner to the match for the WWF Tag titles at Holiday Chaos.

2. Rockers vs. The Unholy Alliance (w/ The Sinister Minister) vs. Demolition (w/ Mr. Fuji) vs. Southern Justice

 

This is a wild match, that sees both the Rockers and Southern Justice disqualified. The Demos prevail after Whipwreck gets the Demolition Decapitation at 9:46.

Mean Gene interviews Mr. Fuji and Demolition. Fuji disrespects the competition and doesn’t care who they face at the ppv.

 

Herb announces that due to threats made by Rick Rude, he and the rest of the Heenan Family will be banned from ringside during the main event, with suspensions and fines greeting any violators.

 

The Bushwackers and The Cole Twins are whining to Kevin Kelly about not being included in the Tag title qualifying matches, when a loud sound is heard off-screen. Kelly and the cameraman run to find Dusty Rhodes on the ground with a guitar smashed on his head. The announcers believe he ran into Jeff Jarrett.

3. Bret Hart vs. Barry Windham

 

A good competitive match ends with a disappointing finish as a mysterious masked man runs in with a baseball bat and attacks both wrestlers. Since Bret got hit first, referee Tommy Young disqualifies Barry at11:49.

 

The man gets away before he can be beaten/unmasked. Windham is pissed and pushes Young. Bam Bam Bigelow runs in attacking the Hitman, as the announcers speculate that the Million Dollar Man sent him to soften Bret up for their match at Holiday Chaos. Windham decides not to get involved, and walks off only to be ambushed by Rick Rude and the Brainbusters. Cactus Jack and Ricky Steamboat run in to fight Bigelow. Ted Dibiase comes out to mouth off to Hart and the other two faces in the ring, as the show goes off the air.
