OK...I know there are some soft rockers out there and for too long, their tastes have been neglected by the Music Folder. Well that's not going to happen for any longer. This is a thread to salute those about to rock (lightly).

Let's get things started with a lil Orleans.

And now a song by the band with one of the finest horn sections in all of music, Chicago.

Gerry Rafferty's "Right Down The Line", a true soft rocking classic.

Would you know my name

If I saw you in heaven

Will it be the same

If I saw you in heaven

I must be strong, and carry on

Cause I know I don't belong

Here in heaven

Would you hold my hand

If I saw you in heaven

Would you help me stand

If I saw you in heaven

I'll find my way, through night and day

Cause I know I just can't stay

Here in heaven

Time can bring you down

Time can bend your knee

Time can break your heart

Have you begging please

Begging please

(instrumental)

Beyond the door

There's peace I'm sure.

And I know there'll be no more...

Tears in heaven

Would you know my name

If I saw you in heaven

Will it be the same

If I saw you in heaven

I must be strong, and carry on

Cause I know I don't belong

Here in heaven

Cause I know I don't belong

Here in heaven

Quantitatively speaking, Chicago might have more shitty output than any other band. Lots of bands have been worse, much worse, but who else has recorded more minutes of bad?

Are we counting solo projects of the band's members? If so:

The Eagles.

Fleetwood Mac.
