He looks down on the floor, his head hanging in disappointment, his heart broken by the loss, the biggest loss of his career up to date. But it's like they say: "Before you can be a champion, you must have your heart broken." This must be one of those cases. Erek heads for the exit when..... "I wonder where you are going....." Erek turns his head sharply, but finds nothing but an empty hallway behind him. "Who's there?" The whispers continue. "Do you think I'm stupid enough to tell you where I am? The dashing Erek, striking fear through the hearts of his enemies and hope to his allies. But that's not the case lately, is it? One of your allies have turned against you, haven't they? So you're thinking, why do they hate me? Haven't felt this way before, have you? Calling people old... tsk tsk...." "Don't be a coward, Pete. Show yourself." "Again, you rush to conclusions. Just like you rushed to defeat when Wilson countered your Fame and Fury and turned it into *your* Platinum Nightmare. I made you who you are. You should be thanking me! But no, instead, you turn your back on your friends for the people out there cheering, for the people who don't know the half of what's going on. If they like you, they believe you can do no wrong." "What have you been drinkin, pops?" "OoooOoooo... Pops? You can't even see who I am, and yet you rush to conclusions like a young fool. But where you lack in patience, you make up in talent.... oh yes, so much talent. I don't know how you did it, but you made quite a name for yourself in the one or two months here...." "Are you done yet? I never did understand you... you have a kid at home who wants to spend time with you. But what do you do? You rush to the league and chase your dream." "Do not speak of the child!" "Such a big tone from someone who claims he's not the Longdogger, isn't it?" "What if I am? You don't have any proof. You can't even see me. For all you know, I could be hovering above you, sneaking up behind you, or even... under you...." Erek jumps aside and sees a trap door at the bottom. The door begins shaking, forcing Erek to drop into a guard position..... but the door stops..... ... nothing..... .... and then.... "Hey Erek!" Erek jumps, but turns and finds Ash Ketchum and Misty, arm in arm. "(Ash) Whoa, chill...." "(Erek) Hey...." Erek, a little uneasy, finally calms down, but not before taking another look around. "(Ash) What's wrong?" "(Erek) The-... nevermind.... Where's the old man?" "(Ash) You know, he doesn't really like being called that." "(Erek) Just answer the question." "(Ash) Uh..." "(Misty) He left early, said he needed to do something with his car." "(Erek) Car? Oh no...." Erek breaks off towards the exit, and kicks the door open. "(Ash) Hey, what's going on?!" "(Erek) The old man's gonna trash my car!" Erek and Ash races around the parking lot, finding no vehicles in sight except of the SWF trucks that are still loading up equipment before heading to Pittsburgh. Then... "There!" Misty points to the far corner, where a metallic Corvette lies untouched... "(Erek) I didn't park it there." The trio rush over, and surprisingly, find no scratches, no wires, nothing except a note pinned under the windshield wiper. Erek snaps it off and takes the parchment up to read... "Mess with me.... and your life will be hell... I will take everything, everyone you ever loved and put them in a world of misery.... ...In other words, it'll be mayhem in Miami...."
