“New blood joins this earth

And quickly he's subdued

Through constant pained disgrace

The young boy learns their rules

With time the child draws in

This whipping boy done wrong

Deprived of all his thoughts

The young man struggles on and on he's known

A vow unto his own

That never from this day

His will they'll take away…”

-----------------------------------------------------

“Yeah, I’m doing fine.”

“Haha, I’m doing alright.”

“I’m feeling a lot better...”

Lies…

A storm rages outside, the weather cold and foreboding. Fitting that it matches Sacred’s current mood. He stands on the balcony of his hotel room while the rain and wind crashes into him. Maybe a month ago, he would hear a voice from inside telling him to come in, but alas, no more…

Oh what, people expected me to change? Yeah, I may seem carefree, brash, even cocky, but that’s not the whole story. Not like anyone would take the time to find out how I really feel, heartless bastards, have they lost someone that close to them? No, they haven’t. Right now, I’m confused, I don’t know what I’m doing… but I sure as hell know, I enjoy making the fans mad, I enjoy it, because it’s what they did to me for months on end.

Sacred walks back inside, following his wife’s advice from long ago. Of course, now that he’s inside, he doesn’t know what to do. He just looks around blankly, no friends by his side, just his ICTV championship and a pile of regrets.

I need to get out of here for a while…

Picking up a jacket, slung over the couch from earlier, Sacred heads on out the door. The elevator ride down is uneventful, but in the lobby, he runs into a little trouble, in the form of a five foot two twelve year old boy, who comes charging up to Sacred, arms flaying wildly, eager to say something.

“Hey, I know you! You’re Sacred, from the SWF!” The little boy shouts, causing every one in the room to turn their way. Sacred looks down disdainfully at the boy, glaring at him.

“I’m glad you recognised me, now go away.”

The kid doesn’t relent one bit, “Haha, all my friends think you suck! We all like the Midnight Carnival! They are so much better than yous!”

Sacred just chuckles and replies, “Want to say that again son, I didn’t quite hear you?”

The kid laughs and shouts out again, “I said, no one like’s you because you suck –“

One punch to the jaw sends the kid barrelling along the ground. Within seconds, several concerned adults rush over and check on the little boys injuries. Sacred just smiles and calmly walks away, while taunts and abuse are hurled from behind him. Sacred ignores them and walks down the street, stuffing his hands into his pockets, trying to shelter himself from the cold.

She would be with me now, snuggling up to me, my love. She would have calmed me down when that kid abused me. I still can’t believe she’s gone, I will never get over it, I will never be the same, people have to realise that.

Rushing down the street, Sacred ducks into the local bar, as the storm grows fiercer. Sacred runs a hand through his hair and sits himself down at a nearby table, pretending as if he doesn’t notice the guys at the bar swivel their stools to glance at him. The television plays an SWF event, no one can get enough of it right now. Even the forty-year-old couple at the next table is getting into it, of course, each one is rooting for the good guy. Sacred picked the wrong time to duck into the bar, as the next match shows a local getting in the ring with him, and lets just say Sacred’ chair use was a bit reckless…

One of them watching the set looks at the T.V, then at Sacred, then the T.V, then at Sacred. Finally, he works out that Sacred is the guy fighting, and gets up from his stool to walk over. Sacred looks up and sits there silently.

“Well, you got somethin’ to say about that?” The guy asks. Sacred just shrugs as the waitress brings him a beer, placing it down on the table. Sacred goes to take a swig of the brew, but a big hairy hand grasps onto his wrist. In the mood for a beer, Sacred looks up and glares as the guy.

“Well, what ya got to say?” He asks once more.

Sacred just replies, confused, “About what?”

The man’s buddies suddenly get up and waddle over as the guy says, getting close enough for Sacred to smell his breath of beer and cigarette smoke. “That’s my boy your beating with a chair there… so, what you gotsda say ‘bout it?”

With another chuckle, Sacred turns away and completely ignores the southerner. This only serves to infuriate the man, and tries to grab Sacred around the neck, but Sacred’s reflexes are too good for that, and he grabs the trucker’s wrist before he can connect.

“You lookin’ for a fight boy? ‘Cause if you do, you’ve found one. This one’s for my boy, who you put in hospital!”

The man rears back and sends his fist flying straight for Sacred’s forehead, but the Australian turns his head and avoids the blow. Sacred gets up from his seat and grabs the beer bottle on the table, sending it crashing down on the unfortunate man. His buddies step forward to help, but Sacred just grabs the guy and throws him across the room, crashing into his friends.

Another guy comes up behind Sacred and grabs him in a sleeper, but Sacred grabs him by the shoulders and flips them over his back and through a table. More people step forward to greet Sacred with cold stares, so he decides to retreat out of the bar, finding himself on the street again. He stumbles around breathing heavily, something strange coming over him.

No fucking rest for the wicked! It’s my job to do that, it’s my job to hurt people, and don’t these people know that? Don’t these people realise My pain and suffering?! They never knew Anna, they never knew how beautiful, how special she was! They don’t care, and in the end, no one ever does, not even the people who I thought were my friends!?

Sacred clenches his fist as he stands out their, rain pounding down on him, but right now, he’s to angry to think, to act…

I can never have a break in life, just one disappointment after another! Argh, I’m just so… mad… It gets to hard, being by myself. Sure, I have one or two people I can rely on, but I lost my only love, I lost her, and no one cares… no one… cares… Damnit! They should care! I’ll make them care!

She was everything to me… she’s gone now… I have nothing, and that means, I have nothing to lose. I know I’m unstable, I know I’m on the edge, but I’ll show everyone I’m the best, I’ll show them what Anna meant to me…

I’ll show them…

Never shined through in what I've shown

Never be

Never see

Won't see what might have been

What I've felt

What I've known

Never shined through in what I've shown

Never free

Never me

So I dub thee unforgiven …”

Wow. First promo I've seen from Sacred since I got back, and I just have to say keep it up.

Beating up little kids? Yes! High five of Evil!

Sacred's establishing himself a little character to go with his mucho in-ring ability. I can't wait til the PPV.

Dammit! That guy was talking about how totally sweet us good guys were, and you just go and clobber him? Poor bastard.

A fine promo, altogether. Sacred's been changing in character form throughout his entire career, but I'm noticing now that he's sort of coming full-circle, back to the kind of respect and honor deal he had going waaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy back in the RX days...but from the other side of the fence, and with a lot more evil. Through all the character changes, many undercurrents have stayed the same. Good, good work.

Ace promo. Although, you'd think the guys in the bar would know wrestlings fake.
