What SummerSlam main event would YOU go with?

Well, they could just do a two-falls match between the two. First fall for the IC title, second fall for the #1 contendership to the title. Sure, it's something that hasn't been seen too often, but I'd tune in.

 

My bets are on Brock vs. Rock, with Rock beating Taker at Vengeance to become champ. They're not going to have a world title change on Smackdown since it's pre-taped, and they're not going to put Brock on the back-burner after suddenly having him destroy Ric Flair, RVD, and all comers in the KotR tourney.

 

If they stick with Brock/Taker, they may produce a heatless match that rivals HHH/Hogan and HHH/Taker on this year's awful-awful-awful main events scale.

RVD vs. Taker is the most logical and obvious main event they could have, but we're all forgetting one thing. WWE = Logic gets thrown out of the window......

First off, scrap the 'Taker face turn completely, and as much as I like Angle, let 'Taker keep the belt til SS.

 

On the Raw side of the things, Brock/RVD keeps going to Vengeance. At Vengeance, have a two fall match and switch them up. Brock takes the IC Title in the first fall, RVD takes #1 Contendorship in the second. Heyman gets royally pissed and mouths off to Brock, Brock wallops Heyman, insta-face.

 

Have Taker bash RVD in promos on Smackdown, and the standard find-a-way-to-make-them-fight-in-as-many-tag-combonations-as-possible for Raw, and make sure they play on the past history. RVD can't win the big one, however you wanna do it.

 

Then, the Raw before SS, have Taker just go hog-wild on RVD, doing a brutal backstage beatdown (yay alliteration!) and have RVD wear the Crimson Mask. Then, the Smackdown! before Survivor Series, since it hasn't been done in a whole... two months, 'Taker cuts a "Damn I'm good" promo, when RVD crosses brands and this time HE beats the living fuck out of 'Taker. Maybe not Crimson Mask, but enough for people to go "God damn!"

if taker still has the title:

 

double main event. taker/rvd for the title (i still think rvd & brock are going to have a rematch at vengeance for the title shot) and benoit/rock.

 

if angle has the title:

 

i have no clue. but i'd put benoit/rock in there somewhere.

If Undertaker has the title until Summerlsam, have him face Van Dam because they've been hinting at a feud for a long time now, and it would make sense for RVD to get his revenge from last Vengeance.

 

If Kurt Angle wins the title from The Undertaker, then I would have (after a seasoned push) Booker T beat Brock Lesnar for the #1 Contendership, for payback from Brock barely beating Booker T in KOTR qualifyers. Booker T vs. Angle would make me buy Summerslam or any damn pay per view.
