Guest 5_moves_of_doom Posted July 2, 2002 Report Posted July 2, 2002 Predict away lads and...um...lad-ies, for thy post is up! --- Show: SWF Storm Date: July 5, 2002 Arena: The Corel Centre in Ottawa, Ontario…Canada! SINGLES MATCH Frost vs. Ced Ordonez HARDCORE TITLE MATCH Ash Ketchum © vs. Xero SINGLES MATCH Tod DeKindes vs. Fallout TABLE MATCH The Boston Strangler vs. Longdogger Pete SINGLES MATCH Danny Williams vs. Thoth 6-MAN TAG MATCH Edwin MacPhisto, Chris Raynor & Z vs. Chris Wilson, Stryke & “TNT” Taylor Nicholas Thompson
Guest 5_moves_of_doom Posted July 2, 2002 Report Posted July 2, 2002 SINGLES MATCH Frost vs. Ced Ordonez -Meh, Ced is a no-showing bastard, Frost is in my stable...which gives the nod to Ced, no wait, Frost. HARDCORE TITLE MATCH Ash Ketchum © vs. Xero -Ahem. Ash to beat the crap out of Xero with a helmet. A HELMET. SINGLES MATCH Tod DeKindes vs. Fallout -Bah, Tod is a very impressive bumpee who I'd love to see pull an upset here, but Fallout is old, which is good. Sooooo, eh, I really can't choose, but I'll go with Fallout via experience. TABLE MATCH The Boston Strangler vs. Longdogger Pete -Um...LDP is one of my favorites, AND is Sydney Sky's boyfriend. I'm not, which makes me bitter, which makes me pick TBS for the return win of impending doom. SINGLES MATCH Danny Williams vs. Thoth -Thoth makes cool rants. Thoth likes cool anime. Thoth likes cool video games. I assume his matches are cool too. Go him, though an upset from Danno would be a markout moment for sure. 6-MAN TAG MATCH Edwin MacPhisto, Chris Raynor & Z vs. Chris Wilson, Stryke & “TNT” Taylor Nicholas Thompson -Uuuuuuuuuhhhhhh........Wowza. Hell, they have the World champ, but we have the Volleyball from Castaway, so booya! We'll see, though I really could see it going either way.
Guest ErekT2k Posted July 2, 2002 Report Posted July 2, 2002 SINGLES MATCH Frost vs. Ced Ordonez - Ced no shows so it's Frost with a default. HARDCORE TITLE MATCH Ash Ketchum © vs. Xero - Xero missed his chance, a golden opportunity at the LHW title! So Ash continues to tear through the HC divisions with his box. SINGLES MATCH Tod DeKindes vs. Fallout - Wow, I'm hoping for an upset here. But don't count Fallout out. TABLE MATCH The Boston Strangler vs. Longdogger Pete - TBS or LDP? Hmmmm..... well, LDP is old.... and TBS is the Superstation.... so I'll toss it in the air. SINGLES MATCH Danny Williams vs. Thoth - Thoth 6-MAN TAG MATCH Edwin MacPhisto, Chris Raynor & Z vs. Chris Wilson, Stryke & “TNT” Taylor Nicholas Thompson - In other words: SWF Champ, Tag God, and Crazy Funny Writer vs Manipulator, [insert cool nick for Stryke here], and a ticking Time Bomb..... again, I'll have to toss it in the air.
Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted July 2, 2002 Report Posted July 2, 2002 SINGLES MATCH Frost vs. Ced Ordonez -A 3000 word opener? Man, that's been a while for me. Just because Ced no showed once, does not mean he will again and I know he has the skills to take me. I'm jazzed to move up the card so I personally will be putting in a top notch effort. HARDCORE TITLE MATCH Ash Ketchum © vs. Xero -Again, because Xero no showed once is no reason to disown him. However, he did no show for a title. Ash is hard to beat with gold around his waist. ASH SINGLES MATCH Tod DeKindes vs. Fallout -I can't say that I'm too familiar with all the SWF guys yet, but I know Tod very well and I know how much potential and skill he has. TOD TABLE MATCH The Boston Strangler vs. Longdogger Pete -Looks likes a close match on paper and without any deep personal insight, I have to hedge my bets. PUSH SINGLES MATCH Danny Williams vs. Thoth -Danny was on fire when he left the SJL, hell he whipped my ass in our last match. I just worked a tag match with Thoth and have to give him all the props in the word in working with me and being encouraging. I get the feeling that Danny is going to need a little feeling out time before he lights the WF up like I know he can. THOTH 6-MAN TAG MATCH Edwin MacPhisto, Chris Raynor & Z vs. Chris Wilson, Stryke & “TNT” Taylor Nicholas Thompson -I can't go against my own stable can I? (Actually yes I can, as I did above) This match is going to come down to which team gets their shit together and can coordiante the best between themselves. Since stable building is going on now with my guys, I know the lines of communication are wide open. MY GUYS (FOR LACK OF OFFICIAL NAME...YET)
Guest Rabbi_wilson13 Posted July 2, 2002 Report Posted July 2, 2002 SINGLES MATCH Frost vs. Ced Ordonez * I'm going to go with my Icelandic muscle to jerk the curtain the entire way off and strangle Ced with it. HARDCORE TITLE MATCH Ash Ketchum © vs. Xero * Oh you gotta go with Ash to retain. Ketchum-mania. SINGLES MATCH Tod DeKindes vs. Fallout * Tod may write some killer singles matches, but Fallout is just simply killer. Not good for the rookie. TABLE MATCH The Boston Strangler vs. Longdogger Pete * LDP is coming off a good ICTV showing, but I think the returning TBS is gonna cement himself high up in the card with some wood damage here. SINGLES MATCH Danny Williams vs. Thoth * Match of the night right here. Williams can bust out something special for singles matches (See his last JL match) but Thoth is really, really good. I'm going to take my upset special here and go with Deathwish. 6-MAN TAG MATCH Edwin MacPhisto, Chris Raynor & Z vs. Chris Wilson, Stryke & “TNT” Taylor Nicholas Thompson * The entire cast of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Because they deserve it, goshdarnit.
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted July 2, 2002 Report Posted July 2, 2002 Exhausted champeroo prediction-time! SINGLES MATCH Frost vs. Ced Ordonez -JL flashbacks. As someone who's read a fair share of work from both men, I'm gonna say that it's close, but Frost is going to have the momentum coming off the PPV. Frost to get his first WF singles win. HARDCORE TITLE MATCH Ash Ketchum © vs. Xero -Ash beat Stryke again, which surprised me. He's not going to lose this soon, though a motivated Xero will put up a solid challenge. I'd actually really like to see Ash continue the box thing, bringing something new down in the mystery box in every hardcore defense. Just a tiny little angle to add some zest to his reign. SINGLES MATCH Tod DeKindes vs. Fallout -Tod, you're great. That said: what size body bag do you take? TABLE MATCH The Boston Strangler vs. Longdogger Pete -Gonna say Strangler, mostly because I want this last PPV's main event return to work out, since last month's failed. Also, he strangles things. SINGLES MATCH Danny Williams vs. Thoth -I mark for Danny, but Thoth has been on a run since his return to action. It won't stop here, but with Outcast in Danny's corner, you can expect a damn good show. 6-MAN TAG MATCH Edwin MacPhisto, Chris Raynor & Z vs. Chris Wilson, Stryke & “TNT” Taylor Nicholas Thompson -Hooee! I'll second Wilson's statement on this and say that the Emmy goes to "Once More, With Feeling," but as for this match? Damn. You've got myself, coming off a strong defense. You've got Raynor, Tag God. You've got Z, ridiculously eager new arrival. On the other side, it's Wilson and Stryke, our tag champs and two guys always moving up, plus TNT, who's got a US title shot lined up and can definitely balance out Z's new-guy power. It's gonna be close as hell, yo. I'll take a page from CIA and refuse to call it!
Guest TheBostonStrangler Posted July 2, 2002 Report Posted July 2, 2002 (Y) @ me strangling things. SINGLES MATCH Frost vs. Ced Ordonez Frost is the best bump since K-Os, with the possible exception of Taylor. He's gonna go real far, real fast. Frost to win. HARDCORE TITLE MATCH Ash Ketchum © vs. Xero Well, he beat Stryke, so I think Ash can take another one over Xero. SINGLES MATCH Tod DeKindes vs. Fallout Fallout is God. Therefore, even a German falls to him. TABLE MATCH The Boston Strangler vs. Longdogger Pete (N) @ gimmick matches. (Y) @ table matches. It all balances out. SINGLES MATCH Danny Williams vs. Thoth Thoth's pretty good, and Danny's just not ready to take him on yet. Thoth to win here. 6-MAN TAG MATCH Edwin MacPhisto, Chris Raynor & Z vs. Chris Wilson, Stryke & “TNT” Taylor Nicholas Thompson The unnamed shall take this one.
Guest Ace309 Posted July 2, 2002 Report Posted July 2, 2002 SINGLES MATCH Frost vs. Ced Ordonez - I like them both, but Frost's girlfriend is in the SJL. Hence, he can't violate the no-sex-the-night-before rule, and will therefore outperform Ced, who's getting all kinds of action from the DDRats. HARDCORE TITLE MATCH Ash Ketchum © vs. Xero - Ash. Because Xero's going to refuse to come within 15 feet of the helmet. SINGLES MATCH Tod DeKindes vs. Fallout - I like Tod a lot. However, Fallout is my stablemate. Also, as good as Tod's head-dropping, brooding goodness is, Fallout's is better. TABLE MATCH The Boston Strangler vs. Longdogger Pete - Straaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanglerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr SINGLES MATCH Danny Williams vs. Thoth - Hm, battle of the psuedotweeners. I like Danny... but I like Thoth better. 6-MAN TAG MATCH Edwin MacPhisto, Chris Raynor & Z vs. Chris Wilson, Stryke & “TNT” Taylor Nicholas Thompson - Tough one, but Z's paying me to predict him, so Carnivale in Rio~!
Guest Insanityman Posted July 2, 2002 Report Posted July 2, 2002 SINGLES MATCH Frost vs. Ced Ordonez ~Frost gets the win. HARDCORE TITLE MATCH Ash Ketchum © vs. Xero ~Ash retains. SINGLES MATCH Tod DeKindes vs. Fallout ~Sorry Tod, Fallout. TABLE MATCH The Boston Strangler vs. Longdogger Pete ~The Super Station. SINGLES MATCH Danny Williams vs. Thoth ~Thoth. 6-MAN TAG MATCH Edwin MacPhisto, Chris Raynor & Z vs. Chris Wilson, Stryke & “TNT” Taylor Nicholas Thompson ~I'm rooting for the evil... but you never know.
Guest redbaron51 Posted July 2, 2002 Report Posted July 2, 2002 ugh people don't want me to win... must kill people at work for not taking their shifts
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted July 2, 2002 Report Posted July 2, 2002 Xero, I don't think it's that people don't want you to win. It's just that after no-showing a golden opportunity at the PPV, I don't know how many of them expect you to show up against a momentum-possessing Ash. Prove the predictions wrong, dood.
Guest Coffin Surfer Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 SINGLES MATCH Frost vs. Ced Ordonez Frost. There's only one man that can beat Frost. Me. HARDCORE TITLE MATCH Ash Ketchum © vs. Xero Xero. Cause I want you to win. SINGLES MATCH Tod DeKindes vs. Fallout Tod and his awesome moveset. TABLE MATCH The Boston Strangler vs. Longdogger Pete sorry, I'am not that familiar with either's work. SINGLES MATCH Danny Williams vs. Thoth Someone has to pick me, even it's me. 6-MAN TAG MATCH Edwin MacPhisto, Chris Raynor & Z vs. Chris Wilson, Stryke & “TNT” Taylor Nicholas Thompson My stablemates Chris, Stryke, and TNT. Too much talent to handle.
Guest midnight_burn Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 Predictions. Yep. SINGLES MATCH Frost vs. Ced Ordonez -> Probably Frost. HARDCORE TITLE MATCH Ash Ketchum © vs. Xero -> I dunno, probably Ash or something. SINGLES MATCH Tod DeKindes vs. Fallout -> Even though i like Tod, Fallout will be too much for him here. TABLE MATCH The Boston Strangler vs. Longdogger Pete -> Strangler will probably be a tad rusty, so i'll go LDP. I'd like to see a Strangler win though. SINGLES MATCH Danny Williams vs. Thoth -> Thoth to defeat the last JL World Champ. 6-MAN TAG MATCH Edwin MacPhisto, Chris Raynor & Z vs. Chris Wilson, Stryke & “TNT” Taylor Nicholas Thompson -> I'll probably drag Wilson and TNT down into the dank jobber pit that i live in, so probably team Carnies to win.
Guest Insane Clown Dan Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 SINGLES MATCH Frost vs. Ced Ordonez - Ced Ordonez... who I hear is having major problems at work for that reason only, Frost is capable of winning since he's at 100% HARDCORE TITLE MATCH Ash Ketchum © vs. Xero - Xero takes the "upset" victory *cough* SINGLES MATCH Tod DeKindes vs. Fallout - Tod DeKindes, 'cause I'm a mark. Yeah. TABLE MATCH The Boston Strangler vs. Longdogger Pete - LDP takes the upset. Cause Stranglers a nazi in chat, and I'm one biased mo'fo. SINGLES MATCH Danny Williams vs. Thoth - As odd as it may sound, I have never read anything Thoth has written. And Danny... he has way too much momentum to lose IMO. The guy using my real name so I cant use it in the JL (ARRRR...) wins. 6-MAN TAG MATCH Edwin MacPhisto, Chris Raynor & Z vs. Chris Wilson, Stryke & “TNT” Taylor Nicholas Thompson - This is impossible to call. If i tried to sort out all of the technicalities, my head would explode. And it wouldn't be a good mess to clean up
Guest Lightning Flik Posted July 5, 2002 Report Posted July 5, 2002 It's been awhile since I've actually peeked into the SWF, so let's see what's in store for us today! Show: SWF Storm (Ooooo... Stormy...) Date: July 5, 2002 (That's definitely today, yup yup) Arena: The Corel Centre in Ottawa, Ontario…Canada! (Boo~! Hiss~! Evil~! Canada has only evil people living in it~! ) SINGLES MATCH Frost vs. Ced Ordonez Considering so many people say Frost will have a default vic, I'm actually going to agree with them. Winner: Frost HARDCORE TITLE MATCH Ash Ketchum © vs. Xero Ash is hardcore now? Since when did Ash ever do hardcore? Oh well. He'll probably beat Xero with a spoon! A spoon people! Winner: Ash Ketchum SINGLES MATCH Tod DeKindes vs. Fallout Uh... I'll just stick with Fallout cause I don't know of Tod... At least I don't think I do... Winner: Fallout TABLE MATCH The Boston Strangler vs. Longdogger Pete LDP or TBS? Oh the horrifing choice I must make. Since everyone claims TBS is going to be rustier than me, he'll beat up LDP. And this is how it'll go down: Lightning Flik will be making a glorious run in to save TBS from losing and instead of saving him, Flik inadvertantly gets himself smashed through a table by LDP. Thus TBS instantly gains the ideal opportunity to win the match. By then smashing LDP through a table for a virturous win! Then when I finally get to my feet and TBS and I celebrate his victory, he'll then turn around put me through yet another table for even involving myself in his match. And no, TBS, don't actually use the above idea. Even though I am Canadian and Lightning Flik could happen to be in the area for some unknown reason, I don't think anyone in the SWF wanna see me through a table twice. Winner: TBS SINGLES MATCH Danny Williams vs. Thoth I will have to say that Thoth may not be a champion, but he still can kick asses. That, and I really am not sure what Danny can bring to the ring. So I'm just defaulting my choice. Winner: Thoth 6-MAN TAG MATCH Edwin MacPhisto, Chris Raynor & Z vs. Chris Wilson, Stryke & “TNT” Taylor Nicholas Thompson Ah... And now the main event. What's this? Stryke is involved? Oh that just settles my judgment right there. He'll get the pinfall and thus win this 6-man tag match. Winner: Stryke
Guest TheBostonStrangler Posted July 5, 2002 Report Posted July 5, 2002 Rambling that puts me over = (Y)! Too bad I already wrote my match, or a certain inactive JL'er might have found his way into my match. Of course, I'm talking about that Fat Panda guy. I wish he'd come back...
Guest Lightning Flik Posted July 5, 2002 Report Posted July 5, 2002 Well, TBS, you really don't need to be put over anymore than you already are. At least, I don't think so. But then again, it's up to the CC on who goes up and down and stuffy like that.
