Ok, this is CHRIS FUCKING BENOIT. Internet Darling or not you cannot deny that this man worked his ASS OFF for the company for one straight month. TLC's, Cages matches, THE MOTY against Austin WITH A FUCKED UP NECK. IMO that is more impressive than HHH continuing a match w/ a torn quad. But what does Benoit get upon his return? DICK ALL. No montage, no hype, NOTHING but a fuckin worthless heel turn.

Oh, but he will get a big return PPV match, right? I mean, he at least deserves that... Um, no. He is going to job to the dudleyz BUT HE GETS A BEAT DOWN! Excuse me while I clean myself off...

The crowd WANTED to cheer him, they really did. But instead we get a tag team in Eddie Guerrero WHEN THE TAG TEAM DIVISION IS DEAD AND ON ANOTHER FUCKING SHOW!

It is total bullshit. It is disrespectful. Fuck, it is downright WRONG.

In that segment-

He got over

Eddy got over

Spike got over

Bubba got over

In one match/segment everyone got over- I have no problem with that

Had Austin not been a big baby and walked out of the company the heel turn wouldn't have been so worthless

I just didn't like the disrespect they showed Benoit. His return got no hype at all, depite suffering an injury when he was a main eventer for the WWF, his first match back was on Raw with one segment of hype, and he didn't win. The post match beatdown helped but not enough for me. Plus I think the fans want to cheer the guy, they know he was hurt for a year and has busted his ass to get back and not be a shell of his former self and be in shape for his return. HHH and Austin I'm looking at you.

Booker should have gotten a clean pin but other than that I had little problem with Raw.

I actually think "Ruthless Agression" is a good thing. I hate the catch phrase but they do need to get more of a killer instint up and down the card. Benoit, Eddy, and others have it.

Benoit got to return in front of his home town crowd and beat up the #1 face on the RAW roster and was prob gonna be pretty over.

Then #1 face walked out leaving Benoit and Eddy hanging.

I disagree.

Benoit should have came back as a face. A hyped-up return would have MADE him. Benoit is not a superstar; he isn't like the rock, he isn't like austin, hell, he isn't like HHH. He is 'that guy' in the Wwf. The Wwf could have made him into something MORE. They could have used WCW footage, they could have talked about how he worked through the pain and put on some of the best matches of the year. They could have, could have, could have. But didn't. They didn't do a single fucking thing.

One montage. One montage that makes him seem more than he is (or just shows how fucking good hie is). To tell the fans 'cheer him! he is good. You know it, and now you KNOW IT'

Benoit got over as a fucking MID CARDER, not the MAIN EVENTER he should, nay, DESERVES to be.

I have a problem with that.

"If you think it's been overused now, wait a couple monts. Personally, I think "Desire" would have been a better slogan, or even simply "Agression".

Desire? LoL...I don't think so. This is wrestling, not a porn movie.

I agree with you on that Rudo- a montage would've been awesome.

I think 'fighting spirit' would be the best... but that's some other, better, countries gimmick ;)

RAW was pretty good, IMO. The ladder match was no TLC II, but the fans were really into it at the end...so I guess it served its purpose.

"destrucity"

i'm a huge benoit fan, & i was very happy with his return to 'raw'. they really SHOULD have left him as a face, he probably would've gotten over better & he would've had better opponents. but he went out there & had a good, reasonably long match, looking like an absolute killer in the ring. and god bless bubba ray for taking 2 german suplexes right on his head.

The problem with turning benoit heel again is that it makes him start from scratch. The whole Angle series, the whole Austin series, both of which slowly gave him a following are worthless now.

The Ladder match, IMO, was good. I was actually believin there, for all that split second, that Jeff Hardy was going to win... They didn't do anything beyond their ability, they did story instead of spots and it worked.

...and the nWo spending 10 minutes on the mic speaking about nonesense is what's killing wrestling.

Just to point out, IMHO, that promo that HBK and the nWo cut which you call "nonsense", I call the best promo the nWo has cut so far in terms of progressing the angle and getting them over with the fans. Like it or not, HHH in the nWo or him fighting them, WILL make them look like an actual "force" to be looked at seriously. Not to mention the entire Booker T thing is doing nothing but getting Booker T over, and making the nWo look like an actual threat to him also. What they did to TBS, in the same promo you call "nonsense", also furthered the nWo and made them look like bastards, and the fans will now "feel" for TBS, and perhaps that will get HIM over once again as a face over time. By the way...

...if TBS joins Booker T and Goldust, we'll be dealt some of the funniest skits, promos, etc... ever on WWE programing. You really need to think things out, not just at the now, but what the now will possibly bring forth. Now as for the rest of the show...

...I enjoyed basicly everything else, and was very much pleased with RAW tonight, minus the ladder match. If nothing else, it reafirms our belief in that Undertaker should NOT be in a ladder match, lol. Jeff tried hard, but Taker just couldn't keep up in that style of match, period. :D :D :D

Sincerely,

...Downhome...

I missed the Raw where Benoit turned (and I also have no clue how they explained him suddenly becoming a Raw guy...WTF?????), but I'm glad they brought him back as a heel. One of the most common complaints about the WWE is that they don't continue storylines, or if it didn't happen a week ago, it didn't happen. Well with the Benoit turn, the WWE played upon something that happened a year ago, it made perfect sense, and as a member of Flair's group, he was practically fed ME-level heat since his return. And I'm glad that they did it, because since Benoit's injury, I was always kinda worried that fans would just forget about him after being gone all of that time (i.e. Angle using the rolling Germans to the point where it become patented Angle, not patented Benoit). Not very likely that they'd forget about him, but the angle with Austin only sped up his transition into a Main Event player, and if Austin hadn't walked out, I'm sure that he'd be a major focal point of Raw.

A long time ago...in a federation far, far away...an evil lurked about in the darkness...it's name was "Darth Dust"

Darth Dust - "you will bow before the ssssssssss...force..."

Jobber the Fat - "mmmmm tasty"

Darth Dust - "Book...I am your...HUSBAND!"

Obi-Book - "Tell me you didn't just say that SUCKA!"

Obi-Book then unleashed the dreaded Spinaroonie LightSaber and sliced Darth Dust in two...

One half went on to become Steve Irwin the crocidile hunter and the other half became Jonathan Coachman...

The End...

If you want to blame someone for making Benoit's heel turn worthless, blame Austin. He's the one who walked out and basically screwed over not just Benoit, but also Eddie Guerreo (and as a Guerreo fan watching him get his first big main eventer push, it kinda pissed me off, to say the least).

You should have Lita as Darth Hideous-without-makeup...

That's one thing that always bothered me...how could the "smart" Internet fans embrace Russo back in the day when he has always represented everything that they hate about the business?
